Upon healing from his injuries, Percy is placed in the Hermes Cabin, the home of the Hermes kids and any demigod unclaimed by their immortal parent.
When Percy arrives at camp, the Hermes Cabin is beyond capacity. Given how many gods didn’t claim their children then, they needed a place to stay. In The Last Olympian, Percy orders the gods to claim their children, even the minor gods who didn’t have cabins at CHB, until the son of Poseidon decreed that it was necessary to showcase ALL the gods, not just the Olympians.
