Percy Jackson’s LEAST Favourite Gods

Least

Most monsters and gods occasionally want to kill you when you’re a demigod. Percy Jackson has a list of his least favourite gods. So we thought, on his behalf, we’d go over three of the ones who seem to dislike him the most.

We kid, of course. But seriously, don’t mess with the gods. Here are three of them, and they’re in no particular order.

Dionysus – “Mr D” – The God of Wine

Of all Percy’s least favourite gods, Dionysus, better known as Mr D to the Camp Half-Blood campers, is right up there. The feeling is mutual. Though, to be honest, Dionysus hates all heroes. Why? Because of how Theseus treated his wife, Ariadne, Mr D doesn’t approve of any hero. Though, he has demigod children of his own.

However, of all the gods, Mister D has given Percy the most advice despite never saying his name properly, and he did save Percy’s life.

Hades – Lord of the Underworld

Hades, much like Dionysus, doesn’t think highly of demigod heroes, despite having demigod kids. He has a somewhat mixed relationship with his nephew and disapproves of Percy’s birth. He thought the son of Poseidon stole his helm of darkness and wanted to kill him.

However, Hades does have some respect for Percy now.

Ares – The God of War

Of all the gods who could kill Percy on the spot, is probably his least favourite god of all three; Ares, the god of war. Percy despises Ares due to his arrogant nature. Though he also doesn’t get along with his daughter, Clarisse, but that’s for another post.

Ares hates that Percy was able to wound him, so he curses Percy’s sword. He liked that his demigod cousin was given the choice of godhood so he wouldn’t have to deal with the fear of accidentally killing him in combat and being targeted by Poseidon.
