Prince Harry. A former cheeky chappy who was beloved by the entirety of the world. He had his brother, Prince William’s back, and we all thought Harry’s mind was clear and that he would step up beside the future king. However, between May and July 2016, he met an unknown actress, Meghan Markle. From that point onward, he became hooked on her. In mid-May 2018, they married. Almost 365 days later, they welcomed their son, Archie Harrison, into the world. Though, he didn’t realise what his future would behold.
Worse, rumours spilled out after the wedding ended that Meghan was a horrible boss. It didn’t stop. By the time January 2020 rolled around, the Sussexes announced they were quitting royal life and moving abroad for “privacy.” However, this is not what they wanted. Every day since they left, their PR teams have been working overtime to keep them relevant.
His wife has filled Harry’s mind with the belief everyone is against them. She also started acting like his late mother, Princess Diana, believing she was the reincarnation of the late Princess of Wales. That brings us to the topic of this Chronicles of Harkle article. I wanted to explore what Harry thought his marriage to Meghan would be like.
Harry: Happy Mind, Happy Life
Harry thought his marriage to Meghan would be like his brother’s marriage to Catherine. There is a lot of love between the Cambridges to the point that it shows every time they’re out in public together. However, Harry’s life with Meghan is the ultimate living hell. He went from what you see in the photo above to this:
He looks like a prisoner in his marriage. There has been a ton of speculation regarding the state of the union. However, what is apparent from the photos, is that Meghan is doing everything she can to make it look like they’re happy. She’s in her element, while he is the ultimate fish out of water. This might be why he has used polo again to escape her. However, this isn’t making him happy, as she’s at almost every game.
Let’s not forget that awkward kiss she gave him while dressed up like a hybrid of Princess Diana, Meredith Blake from The Parent Trap and Eliza Dolittle. I don’t particularly appreciate using pap shots, but I need to do so.
So, this brings me to the comparison I wanted to make here. For those who don’t recall, there was a similar kiss between the pair at Tom Inskip’s wedding in Jamaica in 2017. The two-handed kiss. This whole thing was a show on Meghan’s part. She wants to portray a narrative of their love, but other photos of Harry by himself say otherwise. This is not a happy man. This is a trapped man.
Never mind what Harry told Oprah about his father and brother being trapped within the monarchy. This was just him being bitter and spiteful because Charles cut him off and refused to talk to him. I have little love for the Prince of Wales, but he had every right to tell his traitor son “no.”
Moreover, the Suits cast have ordered the royals to apologise to Meghan. Though, we know now from Tom Bower’s book, Revenge, that Markle was not friendly with everyone on the cast, despite the media coverage. Also, all Meghan wants is control over the family, which she isn’t going to get.
Harry Thought His Family Would Remain On His Side
Harry is doing the right thing by moving to the US, as most of his family dislikes Meghan. Only Eugenie, Jack and the Queen have reportedly been able to stomach having her around. He thought that his family would be happy for him to have settled down and had children.
While I suspect they were happy for him in the beginning. But they likely started giving him and Meghan a wide berth when the rumours started flying. The Queen is the peacemaker of the family. Everyone would want to do what she wants. However, there will come a time when she will no longer be around to keep the situation under control. Yes, I get that it is messy in the eyes of the public, but Her Majesty is a classy and dignified woman. She can move in any direction, like the companion piece in a chess game.
Harry didn’t think through the consequences of his words when he allowed Meghan to throw Catherine under the bus in front of the entire world. No one disrespects the Duchess of Cambridge and gets away with it, let alone the Sussexes. He once thought highly of her and deemed her “the big sister I never had.” Now, Meghan has him so tightly wound around her finger that he thinks Catherine is jealous of his wife or whatever BS his precious Meg is telling him.
Even the Spencers could see Meghan as destructive. It also doesn’t help when the media start taking swipes at Catherine on the Sussexes’ behalf.
The Platinum Jubilee
All Harry’s mind was on during the Platinum Jubilee was getting that coveted photo of his grandmother with his daughter. Now, I want to clarify that I don’t believe the children went, as there is no evidence of them being there. The photo of the child they claim is Lilibet could’ve been taken anywhere. Also, this shows that he has lost his mind and that the Sussex drama has completed its cycle.
What I want to mention is that River did a video about this. According to what he knows, there WAS a meeting between the Queen and Lili. She declined a photo by the Sussex’s photographer because she had a bloodshot eye. It was noticeable when she was in public if you were looking hard enough.
Anyway, going back to River for a moment, he said that the source is Nicky Haslam, a friend of many royals. But the guy is a notorious gossip. So, I’m choosing to take this with a grain of salt.
Thanks to Meghan’s prodding, Harry probably thought the family would welcome them back as if nothing had happened. He also didn’t expect to get booed going into and coming out of Saint Paul’s. He thought the public would be happy to see them. Nope. I’ve mentioned this before, but Brittany of the Royal News Network was in London for the Platinum Jubilee, and she was across the road from the Cadeathral, and she even heard it from where she was standing. She’s mentioned this in a few videos.
How Harry Played His Marriage In His Mind
Harry thought marrying Meghan would include everything William and Catherine were doing with interest. What I mean by this is that he believed he would get the better gigs because he was the most famous royal family member. However, this is where he overplayed his hand. This is what Meghan was whispering in his ear. They didn’t count on the UK not appreciating being called a racist country with evidence to back up what they were claiming.
Yeah, there are people in the UK who are Sussex supporters. One of them even verbally attacked PDina on a train when she was in England for the Platinum Jubilee.
Harry’s Mind Is Not What It Was
So, to end this article, I wanted to say that Harry’s mind is not what it once was. He is miserable while his wife is thriving in his misery. I saw a comment that I thought was spot on the other day. It said that Harry is too prideful to admit he’s not happy. That’s correct. He says, “I’m happy, but I get burnt out with kids under five”, and all this stuff falls hollow.
His mind is foggy. It’s a disaster, and it’s because his wife had the gall to say their marriage will be this, this, and this, but it is anything but. He must realise by now that he is trapped no matter what he does. He can’t take the kids with him if he leaves her because he’ll be accused of kidnapping them. But, if he stays, he will further damage himself, especially his mental health.
