She never liked the sparkler that Prince Harry has thoughtfully designed for her. Unlike Catherine, the Princess of Wales’s engagement ring, the Duchess of Sussex’s has no value.
Sure, Meghan’s engagement ring has diamonds from Princess Diana’s jewellery collection, but we don’t know from which piece of jewellery they came from. Was it a ring? A necklace? A bracelet? Who knows. Catherine’s ring is more iconic because the ring was worn by Diana when she was engaged and then married the King in the eighties and early nineties.
Even Princess Eugenie’s engagement ring is more iconic than Meghan’s. Why? Because it looks similar to her mother, Sarah Ferguson’s.

It’s no secret that Meghan Markle has changed her engagement ring to look like the one she was given by her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson. She’s not grateful for anything and thought she’d get a sparkly rock like Catherine has. We believe there was a rumour that Markle wanted to tear apart the emerald choker Diana was famous for wearing as a headband and having the emerald as part of the ring. However, the issue is that Meghan couldn’t have this as the choker was a part of the royal collection and not Diana’s personal property. How do we know that? Catherine, the Princess of Wales, wore it to the Boston Earthshot Prize.

Which narrative is it? It doesn’t take five months to get a ring fixed. The Times of India and GB News say Prince William wants the ring back because it was allegedly a part of Diana’s collection. We call BS on this as if that were the case; she would’ve had to return ALL the jewellery she had before she left the UK. This includes the aquamarine ring.
Furthermore, speculation has been that she’s not wearing it to annoy Harry. When it comes to Meghan Markle, anything is possible. There has also been a rumour that she reportedly ordered Catherine to hand over the sapphire engagement ring because it was initially in Harry’s possession.
