Prince William knows Meghan Markle might have started the Rose Hanbury affair rumour. The Royal Grift did a fascinating video about this, where she spoke about what was happening during this time. As stated many times by various people, Meghan Markle wanted Prince William, and Prince Harry was just a consolation prize.
After all, Prince William is the future king and is better-looking than his brother. This is also why Meghan Markle DESPISES Catherine Middleton, the now Princess of Wales. Catherine has everything that the former actress wanted. That brings me to something else. An old interview with Meghan for Hello Magazine from before she met Harry shows her in a rather tricky position when asked which royal brother she preferred, William or Harry, she gives a rather awkward “I don’t know”, and the interviewer picks Harry for her. I can’t find when this video was posted, but it was either before she met Harry in mid-2016 or a year or two before.

By the time this interview had happened, she had already made her views on Catherine clear on The Tig.
During the Netflix docuseries, she reacts surprised at seeing the Hello Magazine video. Was she surprised? No. Anyway, let’s get back to the affair rumour and what The Royal Grift discovered.
According to TRG’s video, she reveals she was reading a book called Spying and the Crown: The Secret Between British Intelligence and the Royals by Richard J. Aldrich and Rory Cormac. In this book, there was a story where Prince William interned with the British spy agencies for three weeks. During this time, the Rose Hanbury Affair rumour started making the rounds.
Now, for anyone who has followed William and Catherine for a while, you’ll know that they have a solid marriage. They always have. Also, Prince William didn’t want to repeat the mistakes his father made all those years ago. He would’ve known that his parents’ marriage was arranged by his great-grandmothers. He didn’t want that for himself, so he took the time to see if Catherine was the right woman for him and, secondly, if she could handle the pressures of royal life, and we know she passed with flying colours.
Meghan Markle: A Difficult Woman To Read
Meghan Markle is a challenging to get a truthful read on, but pictures don’t lie. She wanted William and, therefore, to become his Queen. However, what she wasn’t counting on was that William was not a stupid man. He knew the type of person she was and rebuffed her, and as you can imagine, she was not happy. This might have been why she might have had Giles Coren, who has ties to Markus Anderson and Soho House, put on Twitter that there was an affair and that everyone knew about it. He has come out and said that he likes William and Kate and that his putting out that tweet was done when he was super drunk.
Prince William Had The Knowledge Of How To Trace The Affair Rumour
However, Meghan was unaware that William had started his internship with the British Spy agencies. The only person who would have known about this was The Queen. It’s unknown if Charles or Catherine were aware of this.
Prince William would have had the intel to find out where the affair rumour had come from. We know from various sources over the years that he was suspicious of Meghan from the beginning, which was why he asked Harry if he was sure she was the right woman for him and that he should take the time to get to know her properly. We all know what happened there.
As stated before, Prince William is not stupid. He knew that Meghan was not the ideal partner for his brother and no one had issues with him or his wife, let alone his marriage. Also, he would’ve been aware that Markle had to been flirting with him and glaring at him like she wanted to do the dirty with him.
William Did Not To Repeat His Mother’s Mistakes
William knew a lot more about his parents’ marriage then Harry ever did. He was Diana’s main comforter whenever she had issues and he would listen to her problems and how she felt. Why? Because he was the only one she could truly trust as he was mature for his age. Harry was not as he too young and his mother feared for him as he got older and she had every right to be concerned.
It’s entirely possible that Meghan realised that she had been caught out, she fled and took Harry with her as she could not bear to be in the same room as as the couple whose marriage she tried to ruin because she knew her true target didn’t want her or have anything to do with her.
The Underestimation From Meghan Markle
This is just largely a theory but to be honest, it wouldn’t be surprising if this were true. Meghan has only ever clung to Harry because he is her meal ticket and she knew she could exploit him to get close to his brother. However, Markle underestimated Catherine and the love William has for his wife.
Catherine, despite being a warm and genuine person, is not someone you want to mess with behind closed doors. She understands respect and that if you want it, you have to earn it. Moreover, this is the opposite to Meghan Markle. She thought that because she was biracial, people who have to respect her because of her ethnicity otherwise they’d be seen as racists.
However, Meghan also fails to realise that we don’t live in the 20th Century anymore where people have to walk on egg shells to avoid the race allegations. No, people didn’t care what her race was. All they cared about as whether she was good enough for Diana’s boy.
What Meghan Fails To Realise About The Public Admiration She Had
For a time, everyone loved Meghan. She had finally gotten the attention she had craved for years. No one could have predicted the fallout that was brewing. Markle’s initial thought that William would fall for her charms as Harry had and that he was just a dumb man who was attracted to beautiful women. Again, she’s a narcissist and believes everyone wants her.
While some people were easily fooled, others such as The Queen, William and Princess Anne were not. These are individuals who have been around a lot of people in their years and they know when they’re being used. Harry, however, was so despite to have what his brother had that he thought with his todger and not his brain.
Spy Training
To end this post, I had to address something else that The Royal Grift mentions in her video. While Prince William was training with the spy agencies, he was referred to by his forename, William. He wanted to be seen like everyone else. There was no ‘Prince William’ or ‘The Duke of Cambridge’ as he was known at the time. He was just William and he wanted to be seen as just a normal person.
The reason people relate to him the way they do is because he wants to be seen as a regular person and he relates to the average person. Meghan, however, and if the rumours are true, demands to be called “The Duchess” and that people have to curtsey to her.
Catherine also doesn’t care about her title. She doesn’t demand that people refer to her as “The Princess of Wales.” During COVID, when The Queen was still alive and she was the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine and William did zoom calls where they would introduce themselves by their names, not by their titles.
Finally, William and Rose Hanbury both allegedly threatened legal action as the affair rumour was going to affect both their families, but nothing came of it.
