iCarly: Will Spencer And Harper Just Get Together Already?!

Spencer

We love Spencer and Harper!

Nothing beats chemistry in the iCarly revival (other than Creddie) like Spencer and Harper. These two are the very definition of flirtatious friends. If they were to get together, we’d be able to die very happily. But, since the series started, they’ve flirted their way to the hope of the totem pole of ‘yes, please!’

The last aired episode was ‘iTake A Girl’s Trip’, which saw Harper become annoyed at how close Spencer had become to her long-lost cousin, Meave, who had shown up out of the blue after being missing for four years. It begins to factor in on ‘imitating Titanic‘ status.

In earlier episodes, we see the competitive nature of Spencer and Harper as they vie for fake status, usually to smoulder their own feelings of pride or because they were set up. Lookin’ at you, Miss Millicent!

Spencer, The Idiot

When we meet Harper in the revival’s first episode, Carly mentions that Harper hates Spencer. She then lies and says she doesn’t, but corrects herself and says she does, calling him a ‘ding dong’. What’s funny about this is how she uses this to her advantage when he tries to get her to like his ‘reinvented’ piece of art.

However, when Freddie questions whether the pieces of the statue still move, the whole thing bursts into flames which Harper suddenly applauds and refers to it as rising from the ashes like a Phoenix, which turns the tide on what she thinks of Spencer. At the end of the episode, Carly asks if it was meant to catch on fire, and Spencer says it wasn’t.

In episode two, when Carly becomes determined to hunt down her internet hater, Spencer and Freddie start interrogating a little old lady. At the same time, Harper watches them from the counter of Skybuck conform into massive idiots.

Nevel’s Wedding And Millicent’s Play

When Carly’s childhood nemesis Nevel Papperman announces he’s getting married, the whole gang is invited to the party, including Harper, who doesn’t interact with the guy once. Given how long she has known Carly, they likely met off-screen before the start of the series.

Spencer and Harper start competing over how many people they get to give them their numbers for hookups. They end up with a deadlock which Harper later wins, despite saying they would give it up.

This continues a few episodes later when Millicent ropes the pair into helping with her school play by providing them with false promises.

The Constant Flirting

Harper and Spencer have a habit of flirting with each other. For example, during the debacle with Nevel’s wedding, Spencer is speechless when Harper walks out in her robot attire. He also calls her hot when she discovers he’s programmed her number into his phone.

Then, there’s the moment when Harper calls herself ‘the hottest person Spencer’s ever going to meet in real life’. They both love doing it. They have to get a room so they can make out in it. It would be hilarious.

It is no secret that Harper and Spencer are the comedic presence that takes on a life of their own. As funny as it is to see them fight over things, it also shows that they both have a heart.
