South Park Season 26 Episode 2, Worldwide Privacy Tour, was breaking news to the Sussexes, better known as Harry and Meghan. It revealed how unliked they are and how people perceive them as whiny idiots with no sense of humanity.
After the success of our review, we wanted to touch on the references to real life that South Park Season 26 Episode 2, “The Worldwide Privacy Tour,” provided to the real-life situation.
Oh, and the nods will be in no particular order. So, without much more delay, let’s get into it.
The Constant Talk Of Privacy – South Park Season 26 Episode 2
So, a massive part of the episode is the “Prince and his wife of Canada” claiming they want privacy. Although they go out of their way to make themselves stand out in society. They cry victimhood when they move across the road from Kyle, the primary focus. The couple will jump at the chance to scream about him simply looking at them.
This is so true to reality that it hurts. In real life, the Sussexes have repeatedly said they wanted their privacy, but then they walked it back when Harry said, “It was never about privacy.”
Thinking back on it, Harry wanted privacy. Meghan didn’t, as she is obsessed with fame and wanted to be seen everywhere. This was even brought up in the episode when the couple first popped up on the talk show when the host said the wife was always on magazine covers despite saying she wanted to be left alone.
Surprise Of Ethnicity
At one point, when Kyle ignores the couple attempting to get his attention. The wife cries to the prince that she’s being victimised for being “ethnic.” This surprises the husband as he does not know she has an ethnic background.
This referenced no one knowing that Meghan was biracial when she and Harry got together. Then it suddenly became about the media being racist when no one knew anything about it until Harry bought it up in his statement.
The Sussexes’ Outfits – On Par In South Park Season 26
For those who might not have picked up on it, the Sussexes are wearing two of their most iconic outfits. The prince wears his grey suit, and the wife wears the 2018 Trooping the Colour outfit. Also, the hat becomes a staple for the various magazine covers later plastered to Kyle’s front door.
The Sussexes And The Victim Mentality
The prince and his wife play on the victim mentality throughout the episode when building their brand. However, the guy at the brand management firm throws the victim theme out multiple times for Butters, Kyle, and the Canadian royal couple.
This is a common trope for the rich as they want to be seen better by the public, so they play the victim of their circumstances. At one point, when the couple goes to the brand management firm, the guy in charge pulls up the wife’s profile, and it plays into her life so far. She started as a sorority girl, then as an actress, followed by being an influencer and then concluded as a victim.
Yep, this is Meghan Markle today.
Empty Shell
At the end of the episode, the prince makes a rousing speech and then goes to call on his wife to leave with him, but she doesn’t move; he opens her head and finds she’s nothing but an empty husk.
This is a metaphor for what Meghan is in reality. She holds no creative talent outside of trashing her and her husband’s families. Her acting skills weren’t award-winning, and all she does is bitch and whine over something she couldn’t control.
Storm Out
At the beginning of the South Park Season 26 episode, when the prince and his wife are on the talk show, the husband storms off after his wife breaks down sobbing.
Essentially, this is the beginning of Megxit, in a sense. Let us explain how this is possible. The Sussexes threw a massive tantrum when their demands were not met. They listed everything they thought they would get on their Sussex Royal website. But they were horrified when Her late Majesty told them they couldn’t have everything they wanted, which was commercialising Sussex Royal overseas, meaning making money off them while also getting money from the family.
Oh, and attending all the glitzy events while leaving all the blend ones to everyone else. We must remember that.
Blaming The Press – Sussexes Hate It Unless They’re Portrayed Positivity
In the same scene as the prince’s storm off, the talk show host calls the royal couple out on their hypocrisy of wanting privacy while still drawing attention to themselves. He then questions if the couple hates journalists, and the prince says, “That’s right.” Then, the host goes a step further and calls the royal tearaway a journalist because he reports on his family’s movements, but no one is allowed to report on him and his “Instagram-loving bitch wife”.
This is what Harry and Meghan hate in reality in the South Park episode about them as they slammed it. They want glowing press; if people write negatively about them, they’re mean-spirited. Also, this stems back to Harry accusing his family of leaking stories about him and his wife, but he and Meghan do the same thing to the royals. They cannot laugh at themselves.
Canada
South Park uses Canada as a backdrop for a ton of its storylines. But it’s significant for the South Park Harry and Meghan episode. The country is not only a Commonwealth country but also where Harry and Meghan holed themselves up when they announced they weren’t returning to royal life. Another thing we had to point out is that Meghan worked in Toronto for about a decade on Suits.
The Blue Todger And The Book
Harry spoke A LOT about his penis in his ‘memoir’ Spare, including that it was allegedly frostbitten when he was best man at his brother’s 2011 wedding. Then there was the whole thing with the Elizabeth Arden cream, amongst others. The fake that the prince in the South Park episode rubs his blue penis on Kyle’s window shows how people feel about it; TMI.
Then, we have the book “Waaagh!” rather than Spare in the new South Park episode. If you think about it, this was a better title than Spare because all Harry did in his book was complain about being the second child of the King of England. All Spare did was allow him to whine about, well, everything.
The Wife’s Magazine Covers And Copycatting Her Sister-In-Law
The last point we want to cover is the wife appearing on magazine covers and copying her sister-in-law. As we mentioned earlier, there is a scene where Kyle gets off the bus, walks up to his front door and finds a ton of magazine covers on his front door. If you look closely, there is one that mimics the Vogue 100 cover where she copies her sister-in-law, who we know is the Princess of Wales.
