Paddington Bear Steals The Show At The Platinum Jubilee Party

Paddington

Paddington And The Queen Take Tea.

Who said that royalty was boring? Her Majesty The Queen is known for her sense of humour. It shows in a video starring everyone’s favourite marmalade sandwich loving bear, Paddington.

During the skit, Britain’s longest-serving monarch takes tea with Paddington in what looks like Buckingham Palace. Funnily enough, she watches him drink tea from the spout of a teapot. Oh, and he accidentally swats cream at the staff. Moreover, the Queen takes the situation seriously and produces a marmalade sandwich from her handbag. The best part is when the short feed into the concert where the Queen and Paddington tap We Will Rock You on their teacups.

This has to be the most fantastic thing we’ve EVER seen! It’s great to see an iconic pop culture character from children’s literature pair with The Queen—this isn’t the first time Paddington has been seen alongside a British royal.

In 2017, before the birth of Prince Louis, Paddington danced with a pregnant Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Her husband, Prince William and brother-in-law, Prince Harry, watch on as she had fun. We give her props as she wearing heels.

The Queen has done a few skits in recent years. Moreover, this includes Prince Harry’s Invictus Games, where Barack and Michelle Obama challenge him.

The second was with Daniel Craig as James Bond. A stunt double is used when Her Majesty jumps from the helicopter. Everything lined up in perfect sync as the Bond film, Skyfall, and the Diamond Jubilee all occurred in the same year.

In conclusion, it’s amazing how these two pop culture icons have no common genre. But they star frequent collaborators with Daniel Craig and Ben Whishaw as Bond and Q, respectfully.
