Percy Jackson

What’s The Deal Behind The Lotus Hotel And Casino In Percy Jackson?

Lotus Hotel And Casino

When you think of the Lotus Hotel and Casino, you don’t think of Percy Jackson, right? You’d think of something more adult. However, it’s a place that exists in the Camp Half-Blood universe. We did a Google search, and it’s not a real place in Las Vegas.

The Lotus Hotel And Casino appears physically in the first book, The Lightning Thief. It also receives a bunch of mentions in The Titan’s Curse, The Last Olympian and The Sun and the Star.

Percy Jackson, Annabeth And Grover Underwood’s Time In The Lotus Hotel And Casino

During The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood get trapped in the Lotus Hotel and Casino for what they believe to be a few hours have gone by, when a few days have passed. To keep the inhabitants under the spell, the hotel and casino have addictive games that make the player never want to leave.

Nico And Bianca Di Angelo Stuck For 70 Years

The Titan’s Curse reveals that Nico and Bianca Di Angelo had been put into the Lotus Hotel and Casino before World War II. Moreover, this is expanded upon during The Last Olympian. They’d been left there for seventy years until someone showed up and pulled them out. What’s interesting about this is that they would’ve been there at the same time Percy, Annabeth and Grover were.

The Prophecy

Also, Hades left Nico and Bianca in the Lotus Hotel and Casino to make one of them the chosen one from the prophecy.

In the end, Thalia Grace, a daughter of Zeus, put herself out of contention as she joined her half-sister, Artemis’ hunters and became stuck at the same age when she chose immortality.

Bianca was also out of contention when she died on her first quest after joining Artemis’ hunters. Percy was the only suitable candidate as he was the first of him and Nico to reach 16.
