Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss Dead At 40

Stephen

It’s a dark day in the world of dance. Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has died aged 40. TMZ broke the news of his passing. Best known for being the DJ on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and later a producer on the long-running talk show, the dancer was discovered by hotel staff dead in the bathroom of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the outlet, Stephen’s wife, Allison Holker Boss, became frantic when she couldn’t find him. She filed a missing person report, noting that it wasn’t like him to disappear and that his car was still in the driveway at their house.

When Stephen missed his checkout at the hotel, the staff went to check on him and found him dead. TMZ has said that the paramedics were called, but tWitch could not be revived and was declared deceased.

Ellen DeGeneres posted a tribute to her longtime friend and producer on Instagram while sending love to Allison and her and Stephen’s three children, Maddox, Weslie, and Zaia.

No Gunshot

The oddest part of Stephen’s alleged suicide is that no one at the hotel heard a gunshot. It’s possible that it wouldn’t have been heard because the hotel is a U shape and has separate units. Though, the gun could have also had a silencer. Finally, tWitch showed up at the hotel with a small bag and intended to stay one night. The staff didn’t get any clue something was wrong.

Allison gave a statement confirming her husband’s death to People Magazine.

Fly high, Stephen. Your life did not have to end. Your family still needs you. You will be remembered as a devoted husband to Allison and a beloved dad to Weslie, Maddox and Zaia.
