Small But Impactful Updates From Star Wars Celebration Europe!

updates

As Star Wars Celebration continues, updates have been issued for several projects that haven’t been released yet. So, we thought we’d go over a few of those here. Of course, this does not include what occurred at the Lucasfilm Showcase or the Ahsoka Panel.

These are super exciting, so let’s jump into Hyperdrive and dive in!

The Acolyte

At the Lucasfilm Showcase panel on day one, audiences were treated to a few updates on the first High Republic screen project, The Acolyte. We covered what was said at the panel in our post on the Showcase. First, however, we wanted to briefly review what Rebecca Henderson revealed at the High Republic publishing panel. She revealed that her character is already in Star Wars canon; Vernestra Rwoh.

Ahsoka

While we addressed this in our Ahsoka panel post, Lars Mikkelsen will reprise his role as Grand Admiral Thrawn.

For those who missed it, the series is due to premiere in August, though some think it might get pushed back to September as Andor did.

Lando And Rogue Squadron

Kathleen Kennedy revealed that Lando and Rogue Squadron are still happening. She said that Donald Glover is excited about it. She also noted that Rogue Squadron might still be a movie or a television show.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Despite the Obi-Wan Kenobi series being limited, Kathleen said there is a possibility for a second season. She added that Ewan McGregor has been pushing for it. But, “Never say never.”

Tales Of The Jedi

The last of our updates is that the short series Tales of the Jedi has been renewed for Season 2. Though, there was nothing else revealed about this. We don’t know anything else, but we’ll do another post when there is more to report.
