It has never been a secret that Meghan Markle and her half-sister, Samantha, aren’t close. The Sussexes have only just told the world about their baby news. Meanwhile, the eldest of Thomas Snr’s daughters has blasted the duchess on live Australian television. She says it is up to her estranged sister to reconnect with their dad.
Samantha appeared on Channel 7’s morning show Sunrise, according to News.com.au to promote her new book, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister: Part 1 where she was questioned by hosts David Koch and Samantha Armytage as to whether she knew about the pending arrival of Baby Sussex number 2.
According to Samantha, her sister has cut off not just the Markle side of her family but the Raglands as well. This doesn’t exactly surprise us given Meghan’s very public spat with her father prior to and after the 2018 royal wedding.
Samantha and the rest of Meghan’s extended family found out about Baby Sussex number 2 like everyone else did. She scoffed when Armytage asked if the Markles knew about the pregnancy before it became public knowledge. Also, it appears nothing surprises Sam anymore regarding her sister.
Moving onto the book, Samantha explains that there is nothing explosive about Meghan in the memoir and that it is not a tell-all. Instead, it is bringing out the truths their sister refuses to acknowledge.
Finally, it has been established that Meghan’s second pregnancy is a ‘bittersweet’ moment for her family. Archie does not know them. Neither will his sibling. Moreover, this is the same as the Sussex children never knowing their paternal family due to the rift.
Samantha’s Sunrise interview comes a day after it was announced the Sussexes would do a tell-all with Oprah. Boy, we can’t wait to hear what the privileged white men have to say about it.
