The Bold And The Beautiful

Ridge Wants To Allow Eric To Die!

Ridge Eric

If former Bold and the Beautiful character Quinn Fuller becoming the new Stephanie wasn’t bad enough, Ridge wanted his father Eric to die, is a whole something else. However, we understand where he is coming from.

There is no doubt that Ridge loves Eric. After all, he did raise him despite not being his biological father. You can thank Stephanie’s affair with Mossimo Marone for that one. Anyway, the last thing he wants is for his dad to suffer.

Ridge’s decision to let Eric go shocks Donna and Steffy, which will be covered more broadly in the next episode.

The last few episodes have been super emotional, especially since Thorne and Bridget are back on the scene. We also learned upon Thorne’s return why Eric’s other children, Rick, Kristen, and Felicia, aren’t there with them; they’re in Africa. Also, his adopted son, Marcus, wasn’t even mentioned.

Who Is Marcus Forrester?

For those who don’t know, Marcus is Donna’s son from a previous relationship with Justin Barber, whom she gave up for adoption as a baby, which is how he is Carter’s brother. When he returned to the scene and reunited with his parents, Donna and Eric were together, so Eric adopted Marcus. Technically, Marcus was adopted twice. How that works, we don’t know.

Heartbreak At Forrester Mansion

Anyway, back to the present. Eric collapses after working out that Ridge won the Fashion Challenge. Before this, he says it was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for him. His family are beside themselves as he is rushed to the hospital. Donna accompanies her Honey Bear to the hospital where she is forced to wait outside for news.

Ridge and Brooke soon arrive while everyone else is forced to wait at the house. Thorne beats himself up and says his father can’t die. RJ blames himself for not telling everyone sooner. Bridget assures her brother that everyone understands why he had to keep Eric’s sickness a secret. Thorne agrees and tells his nephew that he gave Eric back his spark.

Zende wants to go to the hospital, but Bridget stops him, telling him the staff will only tell them to wait outside. Bridget also has contacts at the hospital and calls in to see if she can get updates.

Hope also tells RJ that his grandfather would be super proud of him.

The Possible Cure

Earlier in the episode, Li continues to berate her son, Finn, for working so late and not being with Steffy at Eric’s party. Little does she realise that he has been researching Eric’s condition and he has found an experimental treatment that might work.

Despite not being Eric’s attending doctor, Finn explains to Steffy, Ridge, Brooke and Donna that Eric would have discomfort, but there were also no guarantees that the treatment would even work. Ridge says that he loves Eric, but he can’t see his father suffer, so they should just let him die, much to the horror of Steffy and Donna.
