We’re only a few weeks out from King Charles III’s coronation. Some international royals and celebrity guests have been revealed, and some are surprising. Off the back of Brenda Harvey Richie, the former wife of Lionel Richie, taking a swipe at the royal family in Meghan Markle’s corner, Lionel has been announced as one of the performers. Also, Katy Perry, who allegedly has a beef with the Duchess of Sussex over her 2018 comments about the Duchess’ wedding dress, will perform, as per the Guardian.
Currently, the performers for the coronation concert include:
- Andrea Bocelli
- Sir Bryn Terfel
- Freya Ridings
- Alexis Ffrench
- Take That
- Katy Perry
- Lionel Richie
Moving onto the international royals so far, the ones attending the coronation include (as per Tatler):
- Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife, Princess Charlene.
- Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Japan, representing the Emperor and Empress.
- Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark, representing the Queen.
- King Carl XVI Gustaf and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.
- Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Norway.
- Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.
- King and Queen of Belgium.
- Queen Anne-Marie, Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece (non-reigning royals).
- King and Queen of Spain.
- Margareta of Romania (non-reigning royal).
Will Other International Royals Attend?
Finally, there is still a wait to see whether there will be other confirmations from other international royals. We don’t expect all of them to attend because the guest list is only 2000 people rather than then 8000 at the Queen’s coronation in the early 50s.
