Explaining The Prequel Trilogy In Four Paragraphs

Prequel Trilogy

The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy tells how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader and the events that led him to fall to the dark side. It also explores his friendship with his later enemy, Obi-Wan Kenobi, while examining how Skywalker met Luke and Leia’s mother. In this post, we’re going to explain each film per paragraph. For the prequels in order, please go here.

We meet Anakin Skywalker as a preteen in The Phantom Menace on Tatooine, the future homeworld of his son. He’s a slave alongside his mother, Shmi Skywalker, and he has no father, and his conception is virtually unexplainable. We are also introduced to Queen Padmé Amidala, who we learn in a later film is the mother of Luke and Leia. A young Obi-Wan Kenobi is also present in this film, and it explains how Skywalker and Kenobi meet. The story focuses on how Anakin started his Jedi training while introducing the concept of the Sith.

The second Prequel Trilogy film is Attack of the Clones, set a decade after The Phantom Menace. Anakin, now a young man, is on the verge of Jedi Knighthood; if only he would stop being reckless and fighting with the system that Obi-Wan is trying to get him to follow. When Padmé Amidala, now a politician, is targeted in an assassination attempt, Anakin and Obi-Wan are assigned to protect her. However, Anakin falls head over heels in love with Padmé, and she attempts to resist her own feelings but eventually gives in. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan discovers that a late Jedi Master, Sifo-Dyas, commissioned a clone army. Anakin returns to Tatooine to find his missing mother, but she dies, putting her grieving son in a really dark place. Upon the opening battle of the Clone Wars, Anakin and Padmé secretly marry on Naboo.

In conclusion, prequel trilogy film, Revenge of the Sith, is the final entry. Three years have been passed. Anakin and Obi-Wan are Clone Wars poster boys. Skywalker is the Hero With No Fear. Kenobi is The Negiotator. General Grievous and Count Dooku kidnap Palpatine. The conflict results in Dooku’s death, and Grievious’ escape. Returning to Coruscant, Anakin learns Padmé is pregnant. The couple’s joy turns nightmarish when Anakin has visions of his wife’s demise. Palpatine reveals himself as a Sith. Anakin turns to the dark side. Obi-Wan learns of his best friend’s fall. A duel breaks out on Mustafar. Kenobi wins the fight, leaving his former apprentice to burn. He rushes the senator to a nearby medical facility. However, she gives birth to twins. Meanwhile, Palpatine has Anakin put in a black armour. Luke goes to Tatooine. Senator Organa adopts Leia. Padmé is laid to rest on Naboo.
