The Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally expanding to Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four and bringing its characters to the rich, vibrant world where they will likely interact with Sam Wilson’s Captain America, amongst others. However, it might be a few films before we get to that.

First, we need to set up the characters within the Fantastic Four that have been confirmed first, which is what we’re exploring here.

Which Fantastic Four Characters Have Been Confirmed?

Only the main team has been confirmed so far.

So, the team consists of Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).

Reed, also known as Mister Fantastic, has rubbery limbs which can stretch. He is the partner of Sue

Sue, the Invisible Woman, and turn, well, invisible and is the sister of Johnny. She is the partner of Reed.

Ben, unlike his teammates, doesn’t maintain his human form and is almost like a rock monster and is known as The Thing.

Finally, we have Sue’s brother, Johnny, who can light himself on fire. He is known as The Human Torch.

The robot H.E.R.B.I.E will also appear.

Which MCU Actors Have Been In A Previous Fantastic Four Project?

The MCU has had actors appear in other Fantastic Four projects before.

Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan have both played Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch in other projects.

Chris played Johnny in the films directed by Tim Story alongside Jessica Alba as Sue. This was before he played Steve Rogers/Captain America.

Michael played Johnny in the failed 2014 film where Kate Mara played Sue.

Lawrence Fishburne, who plays Bill Foster in Ant-Man and the Wasp, was the voice of the Silver Surfer in the second Tim Story film, Rise of the Silver Surfer.
