Marvel Cinematic Universe

Pedro Pascal Is Reportedly The MCU’s Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic

Pedro Pascal, Fantastic Four

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is suffering right now with its tanking projects. However, they need a big saviour and could the reported casting of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie be the answer?

While not one hundred per cent confirmed, Pedro Pascal could be the first actor cast for the film featuring Marvel’s first family, according to The Direct. The actor has a ton of commitments right now. He’s currently filming Gladiator 2, which has just gone back into production after the conclusion of the Actor’s Strike. He is also prepping for the second season of The Last of Us and will only provide vocal work (as he did for Season 3) for The Mandalorian Season 4.

According to Aaron Couch and Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter, they’ve heard that if Pedro’s schedule for Gladiator 2 and The Last of Us can be worked out, he’d be right for Fantastic Four. However, the news, it appears, has come from a scooper. Whether or not Marvel is considering Pedro Pascal is unconfirmed, but we will be keeping an eye on the story.

Pedro Pascal’s Partial Filmography And Other Names From The Past

The idea of having Pedro Pascal as the lead of Fantastic Four is intriguing. Let’s not forget he’s no stranger to superhero movies. He was Maxwell Lord in Wonder Woman 1984 and in Robert Rodriguez’s We Can Be Heroes as Marcus Moreno, the lead character’s father, Missy Moreno. He also has his role as Dinn Djarin in The Mandalorian.

It is believed that once the actor’s strike ended, Marvel would announce the casting of the Fantastic Four. Other names have been thrown into the mix in recent years including Adam Driver, Emily Blunt and Margot Robbie.
