As the days tick by, we’re so much closer to Stargirl Season 3 that we’ve gotten more episode images for the first two episodes. We got a few episode images the other week from Entertainment Weekly. We have more as we’re about two weeks out from the premiere. So again, we’re not going to post the images even though they’re unmarked. If you want to see the episode images, go to the corresponding Stargirl Wiki pages; The Murder (episode 1) and The Suspects (episode 2).
Also, this post is marked as having spoilers just in case we spoil something. Also, be sure to check out our post on what happens when Cameron unknowingly gets between the JSA. Let’s not forget to check out the Crocks’ DC Comics history.
Before we jump in, we want to clear up an error we made. In one of the images from the EW article we covered a while ago (see the link above), one of the images of Sylvester and Cosmo wasn’t in the backyard. Instead, it was by the water tower. Pagey mentioned this in the latest video he did on Stargirl.
Courtney And Cosmo In The Basement – Episode 1
So, the first episode images are of Courtney and Cosmo in the Whitmore-Dugan basement. We know it’s the basement because of the stairs behind Courtney. Now, we assume she’s talking to Sylvester. It could be Pat or the JSA, but Sylvester’s safest bet.
The JSA – Episode 1
The second image is of the JSA minus Cindy. In the background, you see Yolanda, Rick and Beth without their cowls on. This is the first time we’ve seen Beth in her suit, but without the cowl. Looking closely, you can see she’s got the goggles on. Also, this is the first time Rick has been without the mask where he’s not beaten up.
Not to mention, Yolanda’s suit fits her without the cowl on. In the ‘Wildcat’ episode back in Season 1, the suit was baggy on her until she put the cowl on, and then it contorted to her body the way T’Challa’s suit did in Black Panther. For more, check out our 101 Fun Facts from Season 1.
Also, Courtney is seen in her suit without the mask. From recollection, this is the first time we’ve seen this from her. This could be after the JSA finds the body of whoever has been murdered. Finally, she’s worn a regular jacket over her suit before.
Pat And Sylvester On The Front Porch – Episode 1
Nothing could be funnier than seeing Pat and Sylvester bond after so many years apart. First, we wonder if Pat remembers how his best friend treated him. It’s hard to tell what they’re looking at, but they could be watching Courtney train, or it might have something to do with Mike. Anything’s possible. There might be a reference to Merry King, Sylvester’s sister and Henry Jr’s mother.
Unhappy Yolanda, Conflicted Beth, And… Unsure Rick? – Episode 1
This next one is a little harder to talk about as we can’t tell who the JSA are talking to. But, given the look on Yolanda’s face, they’re likely talking to Cindy, as we know she will join the JSA in some capacity.
This shot could be a flip on the one from earlier with Courtney, as it looks like both images happen in the same scene but are from different pictures. It seems that Yolanda has given Cindy her answer; while Beth could be stuck in the middle as we don’t know Rick’s response, he could agree with Yolanda. Moreover, this could leave the JSA stalemate on whether Cindy should be admitted to the team.
Another possibility is this could be Artemis they’re talking to, but there’s a higher chance of it being Cindy due to Yolanda’s expression.
Sylvester And S.T.R.I.P.E – Episode 1
Next up, we have Sylvester at the Pit Stop with STRIPE. As far as we know, Sylvester never knew about the robot as he “died” before it was constructed. Going off what Pat tells Courtney in early Season 1, he created the robot to help Rex Tyler (Rick’s dad) track down the ISA but never used it until he arrived in Blue Valley.
Sylvester And Pat Argue? – Episode 1
The next of our episode images is Sylvester and Pat arguing. Now, they are wearing the same clothes as the image on the house’s front porch. So, this could take place after that image or after it. Sylvester doesn’t like the idea of Pat fighting with a massive robot. What are you going to do?
Yellowstone – Episode 1
The t-shirt Courtney is wearing in the following image is from the Yellowstone National Park. Now, for those wondering how this is relevant, the trip to Yellowstone was the family vacation the Whitmore-Dugans were meant to take at the beginning of Season 2 before Courtney had to take Summer School classes. Also, the family trip does take place between Seasons in the one-shot Earth-Prime comic for Stargirl.
Just for the record, Stargirl still takes place on Earth-2. It was just how the comic was written.
Courtney And Sylvester – Episode 1
A wide shot of the above image of Courtney in the Yellowstone t-shirt shows her talking to Sylvester. They could be talking about Cosmo and her training. Or another talking point might be the Crocks living next door or Sharpe being back in town as he’s in the first episode.
Cindy And Rick – Episode 2
Moving over to the episode images for The Suspects, the first one is of Cindy looking not happy in the cafeteria talking to Rick. You can tell it’s Rick by the hair. This might link to the shot in the trailer where Yolanda says, “No one wants you here.” This shot may give more context to the image from episode 1, where Yolanda looks displeased, Beth looks conflicted, and Rick seems unsure.
Mike, Jakeem, And Thunderbolt – Episode 2
Next up, we have Mike and Jakeem in the bathroom with Thunderbolt. Of course, we know that Seth Green now voices our favourite pink imp, but the question remains as to why Thunderbolt is unleashed in the bathroom.
Is it an accident that the boys unleash the genie? First, however, we have to point out that Mike is supposedly starting at Blue Valley High, so he and Jakeem could be in the BVHS boys’ bathroom. Also, it makes the most sense as we’ve only seen the middle once during Season 1.
Another thing, Jakeem is holding a piece of paper, likely with their incredibly detailed wish on it. We’re glad that Jakeem is the overall wielder and not Mike.
Courtney And Cosmo Outside The House – Episode 2
So the following picture is of Courtney and Cosmo in the house’s front yard looking at something. It’s unclear what they’re looking at, but it could be potential drama, given Courtney’s expression. Also, why does she have Cosmo out during the day? It might have something to do with The Shade because Courtney is wearing the same jacket as the image of her and Sylvester on the porch with Dickie.
Crusher – Episode 2
Next, we have our favourite hockey mask-wearing… antihero at Ripped City. In Season 2, we believe the gym was converted into a bookstore in the six months Crusher and Paula were in prison. So it’s entirely possible that Crusher reopened Ripped City in a different location in town. Also, given that Swift is in episode 2, it could be possible that his tense conversation with Pat and Courtney (more on that in a moment) could revolve around whether they should trust the former villains around town.
Courtney, Beth, Rick And Yolanda – Episode 2
The next of the episode images is of Courtney and her friends (again, minus Cindy) at the Pit Stop, and it looks like they’re having a heated conversation. If we had to guess, it might have something to do with Cameron as he’s in this episode. Instead, however, it may have to do with The Shade.
Rick, Beth And Yolanda – Episode 2
This closer shot could be Courtney talking, and we see the JSA’s reactions. Beth is the only one who isn’t reacting to whatever Courtney is telling them. Rick has a look on his face that says, “Yeah, ah-huh,” while Yolanda is like “, Not again, we’ve spoken about this.”
Episode Two Synopsis – The Suspects
The last thing we’re discussing is the synopsis for episode 2. So, here’s a screenshot from the episode page on the Stargirl Wiki.
Okay, so the JSA begins looking into potential suspects of the murder. In the video we linked above from Pagey, he made an interesting observation. Everyone on the poster is a suspect or at least seen on the CCTV cameras. So everyone from Courtney herself right down to Mike is potentially the killer. Though we have an alternative theory, the poster could also show potential victims. While it’s possible, we also have to consider something else. Mister Bones made his debut in the final minutes of Season 2. We haven’t heard anything about him since then.
It looks like whatever Sylvester was doing in the ten years Pat thought he was dead, his actions could come back to bite him and those around him. Also, Barbara will play a prominent role in this episode as she has to deal with Paula’s constant rejection in the community. This backs up what Paula is heard saying in the trailer. Also, it might link to the image from earlier where there is a dark look on Crusher’s face.
