Stargirl: The Woman Behind Nurse Louise Love – Actress Lynne Ashe Speaks With Stargirl Wiki!

Nurse Love

Stargirl might be ending, but the cancellation does mean the fandom is giving up. Our friends at Stargirl Wiki had the privilege to talk to Lynne Ashe, the actress who has played Nurse Louise Love. She is such a delight and it comes across in the interview, so please check out the interview, only on the Stargirl Wiki. Also, please be advised that the chat was conducted before the axing notice was issued.

Fun fact: Lynne is no stranger to DC properties. She played Polka Dot Man’s mother in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. She also had a small role in Doom Patrol.

So, to add to our Nurse Love love, we thought we’d talk a little bit about her situation from what we’ve seen and our thoughts on THAT twist.

Nurse Love And Mister Bones Weren’t The Villains We Thought

What is there to say about Nurse Love and her association with Helix? As Lynne mentions in her interview, the character was unique. She was also the total opposite of Polka Dot Man’s mother who experimented on her children.

When Nurse Love was introduced during Season 2 and was involved in Jennie’s search for Todd. It was evident at that time that there was something… off about her. When Mister Bones showed up in the Season two finale, it looked like there was going to be a fight between Helix and the Justice Society. It was intriguing.

However, it came as a shock when they actually turned out to be allies who had no idea about the cameras in Blue Valley. It was quite the misdirect, but we’re glad this is the direction of the storyline involving Helix. We have our fingers crossed that Nurse Love, Mister Bones and the residents at Helix show up for one last fight.

Nurse Love, much like Cameron Mahkent, was very much a wildcard and a mystery. It has been a joy to see the character come into her own so quickly. We wish that we had more time to get a backstory for her.
