Royals Behaving Very Badly!

Maria Teresa

The world of royal watching is entertaining enough when you’re watching for royal fashions and spicy gossip. But what happens when their masks slip, and they’re caught being badly behaved? Well, that’s what we’re going to be covering here. From Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, these royals are as bratty as you can get.

Now, just a small note before we start. This post won’t be based on small acts caught on camera. We’re going to base this list on multiple news reports that have come out over the years. A lot of these royals have patterns of being badly behaved.

If you thought Meghan Markle was bad, wait until you meet Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. Her behaviour has been claimed to be horrible, and a police investigation into a particular element of her actions has been launched. According to the Daily Mail, the grand duchess has “overwhelmed” staff preparing for her daughter, Princess Alexandra’s wedding photoshoot. She verbally criticised them for “poor organisation”. It got so bad that staff members asked to be transferred, so they didn’t have to deal with Maria Teresa. Also, the Prime Minister had to get involved.

The verbal assault on the staff for Princess Alexandra’s wedding photoshoot was dubbed “an isolated incident”. However, this is not the first time the grand duchess has been noted to have badly behaved. In late June 2019, Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, ordered an investigation into the royal court’s operations. This included how Maria Teresa’s contribution factored into it. According to Royal Central, “the Waringo Report” uncovered that between 2014 and 2019, over 50 employees had either quit or been fired. The atmosphere was dubbed as fearful. It was concluded that the Prime Minister would have to sign off on staff in the future.

Prince Andrew, Duke Of York

Next up, we have Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Being Her late Majesty’s third child and second son comes with some… hurt feelings. Despite being able to help being born a decade after his two older siblings, Charles and Anne, Andrew has been known for being horribly behaved.

Around the time of his father, Prince Philip’s funeral, Andrew allegedly threw a massive tantrum over not being allowed to wear military dress. He reportedly wanted to wear an admiral’s uniform despite having never achieved the rank in the Royal Navy, in which his highest rank had been vice admiral. As a result, his mother, The Queen, had to step in and tell her children and grandchildren that no one would wear military uniforms. He’s not the only one to have complained as his nephew, Prince Harry, had also gotten upset.

Another instance is when his former maid told the Daily Mail that the duke would go on “foul-mouthed rants” and that it was a job no one wanted. She added that he had a collection of teddy bears that had to be placed in a specific order on his bed. Otherwise, he would yell and scream.

Meghan, Duchess Of Sussex

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, needs no introduction. She is in the media every day to the point it’s given us metaphorical whiplash. Anyway, Meghan’s bad behaviour started leaking out around the time of the 2018 royal wedding. First, it was claimed that she made her sister-in-law, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge (now the Princess of Wales), cry. Then, an array of other stories came out, ranging from the alleged bullying of Princess Charlotte to Meghan throwing fits over allegedly being able to taste egg in a vegan dish. Then there was also the tiara gate scandal, where the bride reportedly claimed to have wanted an emerald tiara and was told “no.”

We could go on about this drama, but as it turns out, Prince Harry was allegedly just as bad as his beloved. But, then, the bullying scandal dropped just days before the Oprah interview. Let’s think of Meghan as the American version of Maria Teresa.

Once a prized jewel to the British people, Prince Harry was loved due to him being one of Diana, Princess of Wales’s sons. Unfortunately, he got into a ton of trouble. There was the Nazi uniform debacle and the naked romp in Las Vegas during a game of strip poker or billiards, depending on the story. As he aged, he seemed to settle down. However, when he married Meghan Markle, his personality changed to someone who was constantly paranoid and angry. He blamed his family for “not accepting” his beloved wife and wanted the UK press to be shut down and reformed into something he and Meghan could control.

He claimed he hadn’t changed since Meghan came on the scene. But he cannot see what others see. Stories have come out where it is alleged that he would conduct “loyalty tests” on his staff to see who would defend him against “the press attacks.” Harry had also accused his brother, Prince William, of “parroting” the press, regarding the bullying of staff done by Meghan when he was told about the bullying from the staff themselves.

It has been concluded that Harry being badly behaved is nothing new. Why? Because he thinks he is equally as important as William. In other words, he is jealous of his brother.
