It’s hard to believe there are only five weeks until Ahsoka finally arrives on Disney+. It feels like fifty years ago that the show was announced. Now, we’re getting so close. We’ve never been so excited about anything so much. We’re as happy as we were last year for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anyway, we have a ton of questions that we have that need to be answered.

So, strap in and grab that Jawa juice because it’s time to dive into the questions we have about the upcoming Ahsoka series. We’re excited!

1. Will There Be Any Reference To Kanan In Ahsoka?

Okay, let’s start with a big question. Will there be any reference to the late Kanan Jarrus in the show? It’s hard to say if there will be any direct mention of him, but it’s likely, given he is featured in Sabine’s painting of the Ghost crew.

A passing reference between Hera, Sabine, or Ahsoka might be about how much Jacen is like his father. Or there might even be a mention of a previous mission (from Star Wars Rebels) or his time as a Jedi that he might have spoken about. Actor Freddie Prinze Jr said he would not be appearing on the show, according to GamesRadar though stranger things have happened. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire swore up, and down they weren’t in Spider-Man No Way Home, yet they popped up and had a supporting role to play to Tom Holland.

2. Is Jacen Syndulla Going To Appear? What Is Going On With His Hair?!

Jumping off from the Kanan question, we move on to little Jacen. There was an Ahsoka LEGO set leak a while ago that featured Jacen. In the set, he features with Quarrie (who we’ll do an introduction post on later), Chopper, his mother Hera and an unknown character. The figure may be Shin Hati or Baylan Skoll, the two allies of Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The LEGO figure of Jacen has brown hair, whereas, in the Rebels epilogue, he has vivid green hair and eyebrows.

Now, there might be a few explanations for this. The first is that Jacen’s hair in the Rebels finale could have been dyed. Hera could have permitted Sabine to dye her son’s hair and eyebrows as part of a mission. Also, he’s not a baby in his first appearance in Rebels, meaning several years passed. We also don’t know when a large portion of the epilogue occurred.

As the epilogue’s narrator, Sabine could have taken a creative licence. We might’ve seen what she could’ve created Jacen’s appearance in her head. Also, years would have passed since the epilogue. His appearance would not have remained the same.

Another point is that the live-action green hair might not have worked for the actor. People complaining about Jacen likely not having green hair is such a nitpicky thing. Also, it’s entirely possible that the brown hair on the LEGO figure was incorrect. It could have been anything. Also, he appeared once and had no dialogue.

Is There Any Confirmation Of Jacen’s Live-Action Appearance?

There is NO confirmation that Jacen is even the series outside the LEGO set. He would not have a LEGO figure if he were not in the series. So, for now, place this in the questions not yet answered category.

3. Is Captain Rex Going To Show Up?

Plenty of rumours are floating around that our favourite Clone Wars clone captain will make his live-action debut. Nothing has been confirmed. Could Temuera Morrison pull it off? Absolutely he could. All you’d have to do is put a fake beard on him. Hey, he played a homeless 501st clone in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Anything is possible. He’s still really ticked that he wasn’t asked back as Boba Fett for Mando Season 3. Perhaps if he does appear as Rex, it might be a truce.

4. Is Barriss Offee Appearing As An Inquisitor?

A rumour has been going around regarding Ahsoka’s former best friend, Barriss Offee. It has been speculated that she could be the Inquisitor that Ahsoka goes up against in the trailers. Some have speculated that it was the Eighth Brother, given that the helmet is very similar. But there is one hiccup to that theory. The Eighth Brother was a Terrelian Jango Jumper with only three fingers; his hands were seen without gloves. Also, he died on Malachor.

The Inquisitor has five fingers, and yes, we know a significant fall in Star Wars means nothing, as people have fallen from that height before and survived. This would not be the first time this theory has come up. It was rumoured that Barriss might’ve appeared in Obi-Wan Kenobi. She did not. Finally, the Inquisitor look like they have breasts, and their arms look thinner than a man’s.

Also, it has been claimed by Bespin Bulletin that the mysterious Inquisitor from the trailer that Ahsoka fights is named Marrok. They’re pretty spot on with their sources, as they got the names of Shin and Baylan right.

5. What Is The Deal With Anakin? Is He Appearing Or Not?

Now, this next question is a good one. The Hollywood Reporter revealed in late October 2021 that Hayden Christensen would appear in Ahsoka. This was before his appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi, confirmed sometime earlier.

Unlike the Barriss and Rex rumours, much more evidence supports Anakin showing up. Firstly, THR is an industry publication that also revealed Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s casting as Sabine. Also, looking in-universe, you can’t have Ahsoka without Anakin thrown in there somewhere. After all, he was her teacher and one of her dearest friends.

Not to mention, Hayden skirted around a question at a recent fan convention about whether he was in Ahsoka. If he wasn’t in it, he could have just said “no” like Freddie did when asked about Kanan. Also, the second trailer has two Anakin namedrops.

6. Will There Be Young Ahsoka And Anakin Flashbacks?

A big question is whether there will be young Ahsoka and Anakin flashbacks. We’re not sure, as there’s insufficient evidence to support this. However, it has been rumoured that various versions of Ahsoka will appear in alternate timelines. One has been rumoured to be the Mustafar duel but with Ahsoka in Obi-Wan’s place.

It has also been speculated that Savannah Steyn (from House of the Dragon) will take on teenage Ahsoka. However, the source that revealed this isn’t Hollywood Reporter, Variety or Deadline, but a small publication, Nerdgazm, whose source was MakingStarWars.net. However, we cannot find any posts on the MakingStarWars.net website that mentions this. We prefer to trust industry sources than third-party sources.

For now, this is a wait-and-see. We’ll have to wait until the series drops and starts airing episodes to find out if there are Ahsoka/Anakin flashbacks and if Savannah is playing young Ahsoka.

7. Will There Be References To Mando And Grogu?

We don’t know if there will be any reference directly to Ahsoka’s time with Grogu and Din, but we do know where Ahsoka is placed in the timeline. Natasha (Sabine) told Games Radar that the show was set during The Mandalorian Season 3. This explains why Ahsoka didn’t appear during the third season, as it had been rumoured. However, this didn’t stop the Rebels references from popping up. It also makes a ton of sense now why we saw the Purrgil in hyperspace and why we saw Zeb.

There were also a few references to Thrawn and TIE fighter tactics reminiscent of the famous Chiss grand admiral. Also, Grand Moff Gideon’s firey death was almost the same as that of Kanan Jarrus.

If there is a reference to Mando and Grogu, it will only be indirect.

8. Could Luke and Leia Be Mentioned?

Finally, the second last of our questions (for now) is whether there will be any reference to Luke or Leia or even both of them. After all, Ahsoka interacted with Luke while he was training Grogu and Hera and Sabine know Leia as they interacted with teenage Leia during Rebels.

It would be nice to clear up how much Ahsoka knows about the Skywalker twins. We know she has met Luke, but we don’t know how they met. Jon Favreau or Dave Filoni said they know how they met but are not ready to tell that story.

9. Will There Be Any Reference Kallus?

[Credit: Epicstream]

Our first question is whether there will be any reference to Kallus in Ahsoka. We don’t know if there will be. There is nothing concrete to suggest Zeb will appear, either. Though, given his appearance in Mando Season 3, anything is possible. The reason we mention Zeb is due to his flight suit. He was wearing a blue flight suit, and there were pilots in blue behind Hera during the trailer. Zeb may be a part of that group.

Now, where does that put Kallus? We can’t answer the question as there is no rumour or speculation. There might be something if Zeb does appear, given how friendly Zeb and Kallus became after their encounter on the moon over Geonosis.
