So, for those who have been with Project Fangirl for a while, you’ll know that we’ve covered the Prince William/Rose Hanbury affair rumour several times. We’ve also spoken about Meghan Markle’s alleged jealousy towards the Marchioness of Cholmondeley sitting next to Prince Harry at a 2017 State Banquet.
We’re not going to rehash the whole affair rumour as we’ve posts linked above for that reason.
Okay, before we jump into the main part of the post, we had a few questions that we found while looking through keywords.
Does Prince William Really Have A Mistress?
To answer this honestly, Prince William DOES NOT have a mistress. He never did and is not the type of man to go around cheating on his wife. Sure, there is a stigma of British royal heirs taking mistresses.
Prince William is showing the world that he is 1000% devoted to his wife, Catherine. There is no way she would tolerate him having a mistress and we doubt her parents would accept this either. Not to mention, his youngest niece via sister-in-law Pippa and brother-in-law James Matthews is named Rose.
Pippa and James would not have named their daughter after William’s alleged mistress if it were true.

Are There Pictures Of Prince William And Rose Hanbury?
There are no pictures of Prince William and Rose Hanbury together where it is just the two of them. However, there is this picture, where they are with their respective spouses:
We discussed why in our post on how Prince William came out better in the affair rumours versus what happened with King Frederik in Denmark. There are several others, but again, the pair are never together without one of their spouses being in the picture.
Rose Hanbury: Why Did Prince Harry Mention Her Alleged Affair With William In Spare?
If we had to guess, Prince Harry indirectly mentions the alleged affair between Rose Hanbury and William in Spare to hurt his brother.
All Harry did in Spare was complain about how William got the easy way out of everything. He even implied that it was Charles and Camilla who “leaked” the affair rumour to the press. Everyone knows it was Giles Coren.
There are several theories surrounding how the rumour originated including Coren being at a boozy lunch with the Sussexes at one of the Soho House locations that just opened. This was allegedly around the time Meghan was supposed to be pregnant with Archie, yet she was drinking, if this particular rumour is correct.
Cosmo even suggests that the “affair” was the reason why the rift between Harry and William happened. Firstly, they are pro-Sussex.
Secondly, it wouldn’t be surprising if a rumour comes out where Harry was upset with William because he hurt Kate (in Harry’s mind). If this were to happen, people would point out that Harry has cheated on his girlfriends before. There was talk while he dating Chelsy Davy that he did the dirty behind her back.
It could be entirely possible that Harry put the Rose/William speculation indirectly in Spare to take the heat off himself and his infidelity during his relationship with Chelsy that he has forgotten about due to his drug use.
Finally, we all know Harry is jealous of how strong William and Catherine’s marriage is. It’s possible he could’ve included the affair rumour to hurt his brother and sister-in-law’s union. For all we know, Meghan could have had a hand in adding this in.
