NCIS: Sydney – Brothers In Arms – Episode 3 -Review

What happens when the arm of a Navy SEAL washes up alongside a shark in a tidal swimming pool? That’s what NCIS: Sydney’s latest episode, Brothers in Arms, talks about. Team Sydney traces the arm back to a dive shop where the SEAL worked.

As the team unravels the mystery, they realise there is a lot more going on than they realised and it involves Richard Rankin, the Department of Defense Attaché, who threatened Mackey’s career in the first episode.

Meanwhile, Blue is nervous about leaving her temporary position with the team, unaware that the team has accepted her as an official member of the group.

Brothers in Arms also reunites four former Home and Away actors. Conrad Colby and NCIS: Sydney’s leading man, Todd Lasance, were in Home and Away at the same time, and they shared scenes. However, the other two, Jake Ryan and Alec Snow were on the show at separate times and not at the same time.

It’s always nice to see when home grown talent gets a chance to shine.

Also, another nice aspect of the show is that they’re expanding on what has been done in the American iterations. This includes pairing characters together. Mackey and JD. Rosie and Blue. Evie and DeShawn.

The mystery surrounding Rankin and his overall involvement is getting deeper and it wouldn’t be surprising if someone offs him at the end of the season. The man is a turd who clearly hates that Mackey and JD are calling him out on his BS. Next week will be interesting to see where the story does next.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
