He’s becoming a big star in Hollywood, but Jonathan Majors, who recently starred as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and tag teamed with fellow MCU star Michael B Jordan In Creed III, has found himself in hot water for crimes he claims he never did. According to The Direct, he has been arrested for the domestic assault of his female partner in New York.

The actor has maintained his innocence upon the allegations of assault, harassment and strangulation. Moreover, the story broke through the celebrity tabloid TMZ. According to the Direct article, Jonathan’s girlfriend confronted him after seeing text messages from another woman on his phone and demanded to look at the messages.

It is alleged that the situation started Friday when the couple started arguing in the back of a taxi over the alleged messages. This allegedly upset the actor, who allegedly slapped his partner.

The woman, who has not been named, is allegedly in stable condition in the hospital and presented with injuries such as a cut behind her left ear and marks across her face, likely resulting from the slap.

Is Jonathan Major Innocent Until Proven Guilty Of His Alleged Crimes?

Jonathan Majors maintains he didn’t touch her committing the crimes he’s been accused of, resulting in his lawyer posting a statement declaring the actor will fight the charges.

Jonathan attended the Oscars earlier in the month and expressed his love for Angela Bassett alongside Michael B Jordan. Bassett had played Jordan’s aunt in the MCU. She had been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The arrest of Jonathan Majors for his crimes would not be the first controversy surrounding the MCU in recent months. Mohan Mapur, who played Yusuf Khan in Ms Marvel, has been accused of sexual advances towards a minor.
