Some people think that being a nepo baby is bad. Some celebrities find pride in being related to other famous individuals, while others find the term “nepo baby” offensive. However, there is a rare few who had no idea as a child that their relative was well-known. In this post, we’re going to be discussing Sabrina Carpenter.
For those who don’t know who Sabrina Carpenter is, she started her career as many celebrities do on the Disney Channel. Her first role was on the Boy Meets World spinoff series, Girl Meets World. She has done movies alongside Sofia Carson, including the Disney Channel movie Adventures of Babysitting. She is also a singer and has branched out into doing bigger films and television.
Nepo Babies Don’t Extend To Only Parents
Being a nepo baby doesn’t mean you need to have a famous parent. You can have famous aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings. Even grandparents can be bought into this. One example is Ethan Peck, whose paternal grandfather was Gregory Peck. He said in an interview once that when he was growing up, he had no idea his grandfather was an actor until he was much older. As far as Ethan was concerned, Gregory was just “grandpa” and nothing else.
What many people don’t know is that Sabrina is a nepo baby. However, her famous relative isn’t one of her parents or siblings. (she has three older sisters). No, her famous relative is her aunt, who many people will know by her work as Bart Simpson on The Simpsons, Rufus on Kim Possible and Chuckie Finster on the Nickelodeon series, Rugrats and its reboot.
Yep, the aunt of Sabrina Carpenter is the one and only Nancy Cartwright. Now, it’s unclear in the public sphere how Nancy is Sabrina’s aunt, which shocked some of Sabrina’s fans if comments on one of Nancy’s tweets from 2016 are anything to go by. However, they were very accepting of this. Furthermore, Sabrina confirmed in an interview with Wired in 2021 that Nancy is her dad’s sister.
Conclusively, it’s been seen numerous times that Sabrina and Nancy are quite close. Nancy has been at several of her niece’s concerts, and she even took her to the 2011 premiere of Happy Feet 2.
