The ending of Game of Thrones is questioned by a lot of people who were avid fans of the series. Some dub the final season the worst. Whatever your opinion, it’s only fair to review how the series ended as it was a requested topic. So, what happened?

We’re going off what an article from Esquire has written on the ending of Game of Thrones. We are using other sources for this as we haven’t seen the end of the series. This includes the Season 8 page on Wikipedia.

So, Jon Snow lives the rest of his life in the wildlings, which we take are the woods. It’s better than being executed for killing, or rather assassinating, Daenerys.

Tyrion Lannister finds his siblings, Jaime and Cersei Lannister, deceased under the rubble of the Red Keep. He then resigns from the Hand of the Queen but is thrown in prison for committing alleged treason.

Arya Stark and Tyrion both issue warnings to Jon about Daenerys.

Daenerys’ dragon, Drogon, melts the Iron Throne upon his mistress’s assassination at Jon’s hand after she cannot stop her rampage. The dragon then takes Daenerys’ body away.

Tyrion proposes that Westrosi monarchs should be chosen by the people they serve. This leads to the crowning of Bran Stark as King Bran the Broken.

Bran’s sister, Sansa Stark, is crowned Queen of the North.

Tyrion then orders that King’s Landing be rebuilt with the help of his Small Council.

Arya then sails to parts unknown.

Editor’s Note

In conclusion, this is just a brief rundown of what happened in the Game of Thrones ending. As stated earlier, we haven’t seen the series ending and can only go off public information. Though we have watched House of the Dragon, we understand that much more than Game of Thrones.
