The last week has been hard on the residents of Summer Bay. As everyone came together to celebrate the engagement of Cash Newman and Eden Fowler, tragedy struck after the party as Felicity Newman, Cash’s sister and Eden’s best friend, suddenly experiences head pain and collapses at the local restaurant, Salt.
Felicity is rushed to the hospital only for the local doctor, Bree Cameron to explain to Cash, Eden and Felicity Newman’s ex-husband, Tane Parata, that she has suffered a brain aneurysm.

The Second Bleed
However, there is a second bleed, which cannot be stopped. Bree and Eden’s doctor brother, Levi perform tests to determine whether Felicity Newman has brain activity. The examination fails. Bree and another doctor perform another set of tests.
When they also come up negative, Felicity is declared brain-dead. Devastated, Cash refuses to accept that his vibrant little sister won’t wake up.
Back at the farmhouse, Tane struggles to accept that his ex-wife is gone. His ward, Perri, joins him and he explains what happened.
Perri, who lost his mother a few years earlier, tells Tane that he’ll regret not saying goodbye. He admits that he never got to say farewell to his mum.
Tane, listening to Perri’s advice, joins Cash and Eden at the hospital. Bree asks them if there was ever a conversation about donating Felicity’s organs. They all say no. It’s only during this that Cash realises his sister is never coming back. They all agree that Felicity’s death will save several lives.
The nurses and doctors line the corridor as Eden, Cash and Tane, walk Felicity’s bed to the operating room doors. They say their goodbyes before her body is taken into the OR.
Sometime later, Cash, Tane and Eden gather in one of the hospital rooms where Felicity’s body lies. The trio say their final goodbyes.
The next couple of episodes are going to be hard. We’ve got Felicity’s funeral upcoming and during one episode, Harper Mathison, who had a one-night stand with Tane a couple of months back, will have to tell him she’s pregnant. We’ll also see Flick’s business partner, Mackenzie Booth, struggle without her.
Felicity And Cash Newman’s Foster Dad, Gary Returns
Digital Spy announced that TV Week revealed that Gary Marrow, Cash and Flick’s foster dad, will return to farewell his adoptive daughter.
In the upcoming funeral episode, Cash says only family will be allowed at Flick’s final farewell. Tane is seen in a promo dressed in a suit, but he doesn’t appear at the funeral. So, this may mean Cash turns him away as the images we’ve seen from the episode only show Cash, Eden and Gary.
Since Tane and Flick were no longer together, Cash may not consider him family anymore. It makes sense, but that won’t stop him from remembering his ex-wife. It is believed he will do a Māori haka. while Mac and Justin Morgan decide to create their own tribute to their friend by creating a “Festival of Felicity.”
