Home and Away

Felicity’s Selfishness Is Beginning To Get Annoying!

All Tane Parata wanted was to have a child when he married Felicity Newman. However, she has said countless times that she doesn’t want a baby. Ultimately, she caved and said she’d changed her mind but hadn’t. Upon returning from her trip to Queensland to see her brother Dean and his family, her business partner, Mackenzie Booth, found the birth control pills Flick had been hiding in Salt’s storeroom.

Mac, a close friend of Tane, finds the pills and confronts Felicity about them. She knows how much Tane wants to be a dad and threatens to tell him if Flick won’t. In all honesty, Flick is being selfish. She is lying to her husband to make him happy, but doesn’t Felicity Newman think five steps ahead?

Tane Parata Punches Cash Newman

When the truth gets out, it will cost Felicity Newman everything and her brother, Cash Newman, gets punched in the face by his brother-in-law, Tane Parata. However, it won’t be Mackenzie’s fault. It will be Flick’s. Even Cash tells his sister that lying to Tane doesn’t help. Judging by the promo, this conversation happens after Tane hits him as his berating of his sister shows him with a cut lip.

Cash is put in a tough spot. He loves his sister but will be upset with her as he’s close to Tane and sees him like a brother. Also, if Tane weren’t family, he’d be pulled up for assaulting a police officer. Although, Cash isn’t a cop after he pulled “illegal” strings for Harper and Dana Matheson, so not sure where that goes.

Back to the Bay speculates that Felicity and Tane split up as there were pap shots of Parata with Harper. However, will Mac get the blame? Only time will tell. Also, given that Mac and Cash are both against Felicity, the news of her lie may get around town. However, few people knew how Felicity and Cash were supposed to be trying for a baby. Another note about the pap pictures: Tane is seen without his wedding ring.

Backflip: Felicity Newman

Felicity Newman has backflipped on several things since she arrived in Summer Bay. The first was having a relationship with her foster dad, Gary. The second was getting married. She did both, but having a baby is something else entirely. It’s like she is grossed out by it, but she knew how Tane Parata wanted a family, so why did she marry him? Was it for the sex or because she genuinely loved him? This is almost as bad as Roo being a childish brat unable to forgive Marilyn for the bombing that put her in the hospital.

Seriously though. Felicity must stop thinking about what she wants and consider the larger picture. Does she risk losing Tane Parata, or does she risk losing part of herself in the process? She needs to fix her predicament and fast.
