Chris Dawson has an additional sentence to his already 24 years for the murder of his wife, Lyn Dawson, in 1982. According to news.com.au., Chris has had three additional years placed into his time in prison. However, this has nothing to do with the death of his first wife.

He has been given the additional sentence due to him performing sex acts with a 16-year-old girl in 1980. His earlier release date will likely be mid-2040 if he lives to see it. His parole has been pushed back to 2041, when he’ll be in his 90s.

Dawson has pleaded not guilty and argued that the first sexual contact he had with the girl was when she was in Year 12, not Year 11. Chris Dawson has always maintained that he didn’t kill Lyn Dawson and that she got up and left their two young daughters in early 1982.

His refusal to reveal where his first wife’s body was buried has resulted in his original sentence of 24 years. He would’ve gotten a lesser sentence if he had given the location of where he dumped Lyn Dawson’s corpse.

Chris Dawson’s belief that he has done nothing wrong shows him as someone who saw women as objects. He took advantage of innocent teenage girls who were crushing on him due to his good looks, and now, he’s paying the price for what he did back in those days when he thought being a local celebrity was enough to keep him out of trouble.
