To our fearless future Queen Consort, Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge…
Nothing says poise and dignity quite like Prince William’s beloved wife, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge. The future consort is the perfect woman to sit beside her husband when he takes the throne upon the passing of his father, the Prince of Wales. Since the couple’s wedding in April 2011, they have gone from strength to strength.
Catherine has been William’s strength and stay, as The Queen once called Prince Philip. She has the kindness of her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales, and the dignity of Her Majesty herself. There is so much we want to say about this incredible woman that it will take us a while to get through why we love her and why the people of the world do as well.
Not In It For The Titles
Being married to a prince might make many women giddy with the possibility of fame but this is not the reason Catherine loves William. She has no need for titles, nor does she care for the fame.
She loves William for who he is as a person. Having a title is nice, but being with the person you love is the real reward of it all. Even after 20 years together, Catherine still continues to look at him like she did when they were dating; with pure admiration and love.
William adores his wife because she doesn’t love him for his title. She loves him for the type of person he is. He loves with his whole heart and the titles, wealth, and privilege he was born into don’t really matter to him. Sure, he’ll be King of England someday, but there’s more to life than wearing a fancy, heavy crown to open state parliament and telling staff what to do.
Treats People With Incredible Kindness
Catherine’s kindness shows no bounds. She has a great love for people and is always willing to talk to them. So much so that her Hold Still book which shows the resilience of the UK during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown through 100 photos became a huge bestselling on its first day. According to Booktopia, the still photography book was a Sunday Times bestseller.
One of the photos that is included is of a young girl named Mila who was suffering from cancer. Her mother took the photo of her daughter look out the window at her father who was standing outside due to him not being able to be with them because of his daughter’s fragile immune system at the time. In a video on the Cambridges’ YouTube channel, it contains the phone call between Catherine, Mila, and her mother which is so sweet to listen to.
Mila’s mother explains the meaning of the photo with Mila herself coming in and out of the call. When it starts, the little girl is very polite and Catherine commends her for it. Towards the end, Mila asks if her duchess was wearing a pink princess dress. Catherine admits she’s not but that if they were to ever meet, she would. Fast-forward to a few months ago and this actually did happen.
The Duchess of Cambridge kept her promise and when she and Prince William were in Scotland, she met with Mila and her family in a pink dress.
Catherine And Her Impeccable Fashion!
Catherine is well known for her fashion choices. Since her 2011 wedding, she has not put a foot wrong. On occasion, she has broken a few of the Queen’s clothing rules like not going out with the engagement ring, wearing wedge shoes, showing off skin, wearing black when not in mourning, that sort of thing. Here are a few of our favourite looks from the Duchess of Cambridge’s wardrobe.
These are just a few of the outfits that we’ve loved seeing Catherine wearing over the years. Her choices prior to the wedding were a bit too casual but she very quickly some a lot of outfits fit her really well. She has a lot to work with regarding her style.
Conclusion
We could go on and on about how much we adore Catherine. However, we’re going to end our gushfest here. We love that she is an affectionate and loving wife to William and mother to George, Charlotte, and Louis. She has more dignity than two certain in-laws of hers.
Catherine is the very woman who will bring the monarchy even further into the 21st Century when William becomes king. That we cannot wait to see.
