He’s half-human, half-Atlantean. He’s the king of the seven seas. Yep, we’re talking about Aquaman. In 2016, fans got teased with a glimpse of Games of Thrones actor, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry as Aquaman.

2017’s Justice League gave us a bit more of Arthur. Here he teams up with Bruce Wayne, Victor Stone, Clark Kent, Diana Prince, and Barry Allen to stop Steppenwolf.

While all that’s good, it’s his own solo film that’s making waves… literally. After the success of Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman in 2017, James Wan wanted to help in breaking the box office drought. He took the character of Aquaman and turned him into a true hero.

The character became a laughable hero in the early comics, but Wan knew what he was doing when he made the film. Having Momoa reprise his role helps the audience see Aquaman as a bankable character. Fans will remember the character for years to come as cool and awesome!

Thanks, Jason! You really restored faith in the character and the Worlds of DC finally have another film to be proud of.
