Sorry, but that isn’t an apology. Anti-Monarchist and BBC journalist Amol Rajan has apologised for past comments concerning the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the late Duke of Edinburgh, and the Prince of Wales. For those who mightn’t know this guy, he’s the one who presented the pro-Sussex two-part documentary, The Princes and the Press, which resulted in the Cambridges and the royals family boycotting the broadcaster.
We’ve questioned why the BBC would allow Amol to do a royal documentary when they’re probably aware of his anti-monarchist views. What is concerning about this drama is how deep Rajan’s tie to the Sussexes runs. He has links to Misha Nonoo, a close friend of Meghan’s. Also, the photo in the tweet was taken at a party hosted by disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and his then-wife, Georgina Chapman.
While Amol talks a big game, he needs to watch himself because people are digging into his life now. The same thing has happened with the Sussexes’ fanboy, Omid Scobie. It’s our belief that he thought he’d be the next Martin Bashir. Furthermore, someone who could bring the monarchy to its knees.
The difference here is that Rajan did a two-part documentary while Bashir played on Princess Diana’s fears of being stalked. Though, they thought they’d get a round of applause and be thanked for exposing how “toxic” the royals were. However, everything blew up in their faces on a cataclysmic scale.
Amol Rajan Needs To Apologise To The Royals In Person
You’d think that after being called out for saying horrible things like “total frauds” and “a racist buffoon” as quoted in Inderdeep Bains’ Daily Mail article on the controversial Republican-leaning journalist. They even went a step further and uncovered articles, regarding some of the comments that Rajan made. One of these comments came in 2012, while Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant with her first child, Prince George.
We don’t consider his apology sincere. Moreover, Amol used the same excuse most celebrities do; he was immature. Yeah, Lea Michele used a similar one after Samantha Ware called her out for being a bully on Glee.
Amol’s apology means nothing, and it will mean nothing to the royals either. While he should apologise to them in person. We know he’d never do this as he doesn’t mean any part of his apology. He’s one of those people who think their opinion is the only one that matters. That is not the way journalism works. He needs to be sacked from his job ASAP. The BBC needs to either think about their relationship with the royals and the rest of the media or be shut down.
