A Year On Since Jeremy Clarkson’s Meghan Markle-Game Of Thrones Article – Have Any Lessons Been Learned?

Jeremy, Game of Thrones

Can you believe it’s been almost a year since Jeremy Clarkson was called out for his swipe at Meghan Markle á la Game of Thrones? We wanted to address this because of the recent jab Family Guy got in of the Sussexes being grifters.

So, has there been any lessons learned from what happened? No, and for a good reason. If anything, Jeremy Clarkson’s reference to Game of Thrones, only added more fuel to the fire. South Park did their World Wide Privacy Tour early in the year. A ton of comedians have unloaded on them too. Who can forget Chris Rock’s valid rant of how people questioning what colour Archie’s skin would be isn’t racist? He’s a black man making a point about caucasian people. He even said that black people question what colour their children will be.

Clarkson Was Out Of Touch Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time, we thought that Clarkson was out of touch for his comments, well before the Game of Thrones comment. However, we were also aware that Jeremy was referencing Game of Thrones in passing and that he didn’t mean anything by it. Did he want Meghan Markle to parade around naked and have poo thrown at her? No. It was a passing reference.

Also, Jeremy is a smart man. He can see how much a joke the Sussexes have become. He was simply calling them out as a lot of people around the world have. It’s surprising that he hasn’t been sued, but you can’t sue over the truth.
