He was born in New York and, despite his Greek-sounding name, has no ties to Greece.

Through his father, Achileas-Andreas is the grandson of the late King Constantine II of Greece and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, the former monarch and consort of Greece, which is now a republic and has been since the 1970s. He is also the nephew of the Miller sisters and is a relative of the Getty family, as one of his mother’s sisters is married to a Getty and has children with the Getty name.

Achileas-Andreas is related to the Danish monarchy through his paternal grandmother, Queen Anne-Marie, as his great-aunt is her older sister, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. This means he is a cousin of Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim and their children.
