Percy Jackson

Who Is Nancy Bobofit In Percy Jackson?

Nancy Bobofit, Percy Jackson

Before Clarisse Le Rue becomes Percy Jackson’s Camp Half-Blood bully, meet Nancy Bobofit, his sixth-grade bully.

Nancy Bobofit only appears in the first couple of chapters. This is while Percy Jackson and his best friend, Grover Underwood, are at Yancy Academy.

Percy describes Bobofit as a kleptomaniac who likes throwing peanut butter ketchup sandwiches at Grover. Nancy Bobofit is the first known victim of Percy’s aquatic abilities. She claims he pushed her into the fountain at the MET.

Nancy was favourited by Mrs Dodds, who was the Fury known as Alecto in disguise. She was allowed to get away with anything while Percy was the one who got into trouble for trying to stop her from picking on people and stealing things.

At one point, Nancy Bobofit was supposed to have an appearance in a scene during The Last Olympian where she was still attending Yancy Academy, but the scene was cut due to the length of the book. Apparently, the idea was for Percy, Annabeth and Grover to find Nancy asleep in a New York park during the Battle of Manhattan where she and the rest of Percy’s former class at Yancy had to be moved to a safer place.

Nancy Bobofit In The Lightning Theif Film And The Percy Jackson Television Series

The character was also cut from The Lightning Thief film. However, there is a deleted scene from the film where the character criticises Grover for taking photos of Aphrodite’s bust. She does not bully Percy in the scene she is in.

Finally, in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians television series on Disney+, Nancy Bobofit will be played by Olivea Morton.
