What I Think About The Queen Letizia Affair Rumour – OPINION

Letizia Affair Rumour

Every royal family has its secrets. Look at the Belgian royal family as an example. King Albert II had an illegitimate child that he refused to acknowledge. Meanwhile, the Spanish monarchy has been having a few issues. King Juan Carlos was forced to abdicate so his son, Felipe, could take the throne. There hs been more allegations, but this time these have been fired at the former monarch. Could Juan Carlos, the once beloved King of Spain be behind the Queen Letizia affair rumours? Could everything have been made up?

Let’s talk about the original story before entering the new stuff. So, I believe the Queen Letizia affair rumours are works of fiction. Why? Well, there’s not enough evidence to suggest that she did have an affair. Also, Jaime del Burgo has been a playwright, meaning he could have come up with some lie because he was secretly in love with her.

Could Letizia have been friends with Jaime? Absolutely. Could he have been in love with her, but she didn’t feel the same about him? Yes, it could be possible. He could have invented the entire thing to make it look bigger than it was.

Couldn’t King Juan Carlos Go After His Son?

Then, how does the whole King Juan Carlos aspect come in? Given what has been alleged, he’s ticked because Felipe has left him to fend for himself in Abu Dhabi, and he’s sent his allies in to stir the pot. Could he be that petty? Yes, he absolutely could. After all, the Spanish people still hold a candle for him. He could use that to turn them against Felipe by making them hate on Letizia. It’s entirely possible as he has been known to manipulate those around him to get what he wants.

However, what would framing Letizia achieve outside of a lack of trust between her and Felipe? It could cause a divorce. Her daughters could resent her and prompt them to question whether their father is their father. But wouldn’t it have been easier for Juan Carlos to have gone after his son and not his daughter-in-law?

Not necessarily. Felipe hasn’t been caught up in any dramas of note, though his sisters have. Also, if Letizia was as close to Jaime as has been speculated, she needs to work through it privately and not have it publicised. What’s more, he could be attempting to extort her. It could be anything. Unless we have tangible proof, I’m not believing an affair happened. Finally, a selfie where a pregnant Letizia is wearing a Pashmina doesn’t mean anything.
