What is it with Prince Harry’s gripes with his family over their dislike of his former actor wife Meghan Markle? Oh, wait. It was Meghan who said that her royal in-laws ‘typecast’ her.
Okay, let’s jump back for a second. During the Netflix docuseries, Meghan claims, as per GB News, that the royal family ‘typecast’ her, because she’s an American and an actor. First off, no. The royals didn’t ‘typecast’ her because of her career choice.
They never judged Cressida Bonas, who for those who aren’t aware, is an actress. And they give zero effs about Sophie Winkleman, who is the wife of Lord Frederick Windsor, being an actor. Sophie has said multiple times that the family were welcoming towards her and have never judged her.
Oh wait. I know what the Sussex Squad and the clueless woke folk will say; “Meghan’s African-American and the others are white and British.” Secondly, no. The royals have never discriminated against anyone because of their ethnicity. For instance, King Charles had a black female courtier who worked for him for over a decade. The Queen had a black equerry who came to the public’s attention during William and Catherine’s 2011 wedding. Don’t believe me? I mention all this in an article I wrote about the Sussexes’ wedding and how Meghan forgets that the event was multicultural.
Issues With… Literally Everything… Apparently
As per Insider and going back to Harry, he seems to have a problem with being a ginger as he claims his family didn’t think he could get a “beautiful girl.” First off, Ed Sheeran is a red head and he’s married. It’s like Harry is putting a typecast upon himself. Anyway, what neither Harry or Meghan seem to understand is that character everything and I’m not talking about the type an actor would do (See what I did there?). I’m talking about personality.
There is a reason Meghan never fit in as a royal. She didn’t wan to put in the work as she thought being a royal meant being popularity, going to cocktail parties and going to movie premieres. Oh, and the really big thing; having a fancy title.
If the royals wanted to throw Meghan into the “American actor” typecast, they would have done the same with Sophe Winkleman by branding her as a “British actor”. In conclusion, they didn’t.
