The Aftermath Of Felicity’s Death Hits Home – Home & Away

Felicity Death

The death of Felicity Newman is being felt by those closest to her. Her brother, Cash suddenly breaks off his engagement to fiancée, Eden, at Flick’s funeral, much to the horror of the siblings’ foster dad, Gary. Meanwhile, ex-husband Tane Parata is doing what he can to protect his ward, Perri from his father, Carl and in doing so, social worker Harper is forced to tell him that she’s pregnant with his child.

Felicity’s death was a shock to everyone, but the two hit hardest are Cash and Tane. Also, her friends in Lyrik are left with a hole where she used to be. Also, Mac feels hollow as Flick wasn’t only her friend, but her business partner.

Cash Starts Acting Out, And Blames Himself For The Death Of Felicity

Cash blames himself for his sister’s unexpected passing, but believes, based on the last thing Felicity said, that he doesn’t deserve happiness. His family has had a cloud hanging over it since their parents died when they were kids and they were taken in by Gary and his late wife, Katherine. He feels that by breaking up with Eden, it will protect her from his “jinx.”

Gary warns his foster son that he’ll live to regret his decision and Cash tells him, he won’t. Eden is then seen returning home to the Bay where she is greeted by Remi and Bree. She breaks down and tells them about the split.

Moving back to Tane now and Harper dropping the news of her pregnancy on the day of Felicity’s memorial was ill timing. It’s not how she wanted to tell him. But she had to do something to stop him from harming Perri’s prick of a father.

Tane Still In Shock Over Pending Father

In next week’s episodes, the death of Felicity will play a role in how Tane processes becoming a father. Harper can see she isn’t the one he wants a baby with. But he needs to face facts. Flick is gone and the whole reason for the pair’s split was because she didn’t want children and he did.

Tane, despite the situation, agrees to step up for Harper and their child, but will he be able to continue on while grieving the love of his life?
