Royal Baby News! Princess Eugenie Pregnant With First Child!

Eugenie

Project Fangirl is extending a massive congratulations to Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack on their baby announcement.

Finally we have a reprise from all the Sussex drama! The Queen and Prince Philip are about to welcome another great-grandchild into their family. Their second-youngest granddaughter, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their first baby according to People.

The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson married Brooksbank at the same venue her cousin, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex married American actress Meghan Markle in October 2018. She posted the following images to her Instagram account:

This put a massive smile of our faces. Finally something good after months of having to listen to Harry and Meghan harp on about how toxic the royal family is.

The Royal Baby’s Surname

Eugenie and Jack’s baby will be the ninth great-grandchild for the throne and the baby will likely take their dad’s last name of Brooksbank. This is not a new thing as Eugenie’s cousins Peter Phillips and his sister Zara Tindall were both born with a last name.

Peter’s two daughters with his estranged wife Autumn, Savannah and Isla both have Phillips as their surname. Meanwhile, Zara and her husband Mike have two daughters also, Mia and Lena who have their father’s last name.

Neither Peter nor Zara were given titles at birth as it was their mother’s decision not to give them. Same applies to their father, Mark Phillips whom Princess Anne has been divorced from for years. Also, both her children are female line grandchildren meaning only male line descendants of the Queen get the fancy titles.

When Is The Baby Due?

All Princess Eugenie mentioned in her Instagram post is that Baby Brooksbank is due in early 2021. There were no other details.

We wanted to extend a massive congratulations to Eugenie and Jack. You guys will be AMAZING parents!
