Prince Harry Thinks He’s Adonis From The Animated Hercules Series From The ’90s Because He’s A Prince – OPINION

Adonis, Harry

The Sussexes have a real thing about comparing themselves to Disney movies. Well, Meghan does. She’s already compared herself to Ariel and, indirectly, Jasmine and Rapunzel. Unfortunately, Harry hasn’t gotten on that train until now. I was watching the Disney animated Hercules series, a spin-off to the ’90s movie. For those unfamiliar with the show, it tells of Hercules’ teenage years when he was training with his satyr trainer, Phil. If you know the movie, the series takes place roughly during the song “One Last Hope.” During the show, one of Herc’s classmates is Adonis, a spoiled prince of Thrace who thinks he’s better than anyone else.

During the episode “Hercules and the Prince of Thrace”, Adonis, being the pampered prince he is, upset the Earth Mother, Gaia, and ends up cursed. At the episode’s beginning, he’s your stereotypical spoilt prince who doesn’t care about the “peasants.” He’s actually like this throughout the entire show’s run. As I was watching (or listening), I realised how similar he is to Harry.

If Only Adonis Were The BFF Of Harry… Not!

If this were reality, Adonis and Harry would likely be BFFs. I’ve already compared Meghan to Agrippina the Younger for The Agrippina Files. However, this is a fictional story, but the parallels are still there.

Harry parades around telling people he’s important because he’s a prince. However, like Adonis, he doesn’t want to put in the work to better themselves. Also, they both run around, saying their fathers are kings. Oh, and they run away when things get complicated. Then, when they get called out for their actions, they gaslight everyone into thinking they’re victims.

Wow, I never thought a television show based on the Greek myths would be so similar to real life, even if it were on television over 25 years ago.
