The Flash actor, Tom Cavanagh plays Harrison Wells. He’s in the last few crossovers and Crisis on Infinite Earths is no exception. So, who exactly will he play in this year’s Earth-shattering event? It’s time to meet Pariah.

He’s the actor who plays various versions of Harrison Wells, but Tom Cavanagh can portray them with perfection. While we expected him to appear in this year’s crossover event as he has in every other one, we just thought he’d portray Eobard Thawne or the newest Wells. Turns out, it’s not quite that simple. While he will reprise his part of Harrison Nash Well, he’ll also take on the role of Pariah.
If you’re familiar with the 1985 Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, you’ll remember this event saw the DC multiverse become one entity.
With the televised event of the same name coming to our televisions in December and January, we thought we’d dive into a character we have little knowledge on; Pariah. We’ll also get Ryan Choi. There is also the final trailer which confirms fan theories.
Who Is Pariah?
In the Crisis of Infinite Earths event, Pariah was named Kell Mossa. In the Arrowverse version of Crisis, Pariah will be another version of Harrison Wells.
Arrowverse YouTuber Pagey told us that The Flash showrunner, Eric Wallace has said Pariah is different to the new version of Wells.
He will be a different version of Harrison Wells from the Multiverse than the one we meet in Episode 3 [of The Flash Season 6], who is Harrison “Nash” Wells.
Pagey also stresses that despite this coming from Wallace, this may be a cover up to avoid spoilers that Nash Wells is Pariah.
He said [Eric] there is a “lead up to a very, very big twist at the end of the Bloodwork Arc that launches Crisis.”
What Earth Is Pariah From?
In the comics, Pariah originated from an alternate dimension rather than a parallel Earth. You might consider this guy a mad scientist given how unconventional his experiments are. Also, he’s the reason the Anti-Monitor was created which caused millions of people to die.
Pariah and his Associates
During his Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, Pariah met colourful individuals both positive and negative. The upcoming event will bring some of them to the silver screen.
The Anti-Monitor
We can’t wait to see LaMonica Garrett return as the Monitor, but this year sees him playing double duty as the Anti-Monitor. We don’t know if they’ll interact in the TV version but anything is possible. The original storyline states that Pariah created the Anti-Monitor and that it was a mistake.
Harbinger
Lyla Michaels has been a recurring character on Arrow since Season 1. She’s the wife of Oliver’s BFF and former bodyguard, John “Dig” Diggle and the mother of his child, Sara in Pre-Flashpoint and JJ in Post-Flashpoint. In the Crisis comic story, Pariah and Lady Quark (more on her in a minute) recruit Harbinger to accompany them to their new Earth.
Lady Quark
One of Pariah’s earliest allies is Lady Quark of Earth-6. He saves her when her Earth implodes but he blames himself for what happened. She joins him in recruiting Harbinger.
Lex Luthor
Now, this one is something we didn’t expect. When Superman’s former friend was killed by his sister, Lena in the Supergirl Season 4 finale, we never he’d come back. Well, he’s returning, and he’ll be in the crossover. The Monitor took his corpse to do who-knows-what with it.
His comicbook counterpart played a part in the story though it’s revealed it is the Earth-3 version of him running around. This iteration is called Alexander. Pariah tries to warn him about the incoming threat. He later gets murdered by Superman’s least favourite bald person.
Reanimated
After his death, Pariah returns in the Blackest Night where he is resurrected by a black power ring. Because of this, he joins the Black Lantern Corps.
