No royal reporter has come out to defend Omid Scobie or his new book, Endgame. The Daily Mail has said that even though the names of the “royal racists” were released in the Dutch iteration as King Charles III and Catherine, the Princess of Wales, the book’s position on the Amazon best-seller list has fallen below the top 100. Seriously, though. Who wants to buy a book when the scandalous aspects aren’t in the English version? Also, the author himself will never admit he’s a liar or that he’s had plastic surgery.
Omid Scobie himself has said that he has never referred to any royal as racist. However, he outed himself while interviewing with a black interviewer, saying the total opposite. He wants to be seen as the go-to royal reporter, but the issue is that he is biased. While every person on the planet is the same way to some degree, he regurgitates whatever he thinks will benefit Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Omid Scobie’s New Book Is Doing Him No Favours
What he fails to realise is that his co-authoring of Finding Freedom caused a rip in his reputation because the words in the book paint Meghan Markle, in particular, in a favourable light. The same applies to Omid Scobie’s new book, Endgame. Everyone else is criticised except the Sussexes. Princess Catherine is described as being “stepford wife-like”. Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward were described as “bigoted” because they joked about not knowing about the Oprah interview. Meanwhile, Prince William is written to being “power hungry.”
Omid Scobie does not understand his niche well enough to know that the descriptors he has given the subjects in his new book do not match who they are. One example is Catherine, the Princess of Wales, who takes a real beating. Scobie insinuates that she is jealous of Meghan Markle’s so-called success when it is the opposite. There was a recent story where Markle literally believed she had more right to talk about charity than Catherine because she had apparently done more work when there is no evidence to support this.
Meghan Markle Wanted To Destory 1000 Years Of Tradition
Meghan expected to walk into the royal family and rip up the rulebook that had been in place for a thousand years. She also was allegedly overheard on a microphone saying, “Don’t I have a voice?” This was during the the one appearance the “fab four” did together before the May 2018 wedding. Catherine was pregnant with Prince Louis.
Returning to Omid Scobie, how can he show his face after the slander he has thrown at a family bent over backward for Meghan Markle? Also, he doesn’t want to take accountability for anything. He whinged and moaned that he was being “unfairly targeted” and called a “mouthpiece” and “Meghan’s friend”. FYI, little man. You are both of those things.
First, you’ve known Meghan since 2015 where you met her at Toronto Fashion Week when you were a tabloid hack. Secondly, before Finding Freedom came out, very few people knew who you were. Thirdly, you admitted during an interview that you were more apart of the American press pack, rather than the British one. So, why were you complaining you weren’t part of the Royal Rota?
Being In The Royal Rota System Means Being Impartial
When you’re part of the Royal Rota, you have to be impartial, for one. Number two, you need to report on all royals, not just the ones who will be nice to you. Journalism is about being impartial and owning up to your own biases. You, Omid Scobie are no different to Meghan Markle who is so caught up in her own narcissism that she believes lies are the truth and the truth are lies. Perhaps he had his agent alter the Omid Scobie wikipedia page the same way Meghan had hers changed to reflect her changing career path.
Being a public figure means having to deal with backlash. Politicians, regardless of race, gender, faith or sexual orientation, have to deal with scrutiny all the time. People in the media have to deal with this as well. Omid Scobie has made it perfectly clear, well before his new book, that he needs someone to feed him lines otherwise, he panics.
Omid Scobie Is Not A Monarchist And Sees The World As Meghan Markle Does – Through Race
If he actually supported the British monarchy, he wouldn’t be throwing everyone, including the Dutch translator, Saskia Peeters, under the bus. Also, does he not know that not all people of colour feel the same way?
A story recently came out with comments from Sir Trevor Phillips, who happens to be black. He has said that the allegations were “nonsense” as even black couples question what their children are going to look like. Retired footballer John Barnes said the same thing. A television presenter said on GB News during a segment with Nana Akua that Meghan has turned something totally normal into something offensive. She is offended by something that isn’t even offensive to the ordinary person.
In other words, Meghan takes offense at everything that doesn’t benefit her. Her belief that being biracial and having children that had black blood would elevate her and Harry’s status. When it didn’t, she demanded out and came up with some BS excuse to get Harry out there too and he fell for it.
Perhaps A New Career Path, Omid?
Perhaps Omid Scobie will break a new book record for how quickly Endgame disappeared from the Top 100 on Amazon. If Prince Harry’s Spare could end up on a list of the most discarded book, then Scobie’s can follow a similar fate.
Omid Scobie’s career as a royal journalist is over and has been for a while. We know this from his inaccurate reporting during the mourning period for the late Queen. He made a massive error on air where he forgot that Scotland is a country within the United Kingdom. Then there is the story where he said the coffin was arriving back in England via royal train. The truth was it was arriving by air. There is a rumour that Prince William gave this piece of intel to his brother to see what he would do with it. Just as suspected, the information came out through Omid Scobie, allegedly.
If Omid Scobie were smart, he would admit defeat and go away for a while. Or even better yet, choose a new career path. His credibility is in the mud all because he chose the losing side.
