English Footballer Slams Sussexes’ Claim About Royal Questioning Archie’s Skin Tone

Who better than to address the racism aspect of the Sussexes’ allegations against the royals than a black person? English footballer John Barnes has taken a swing at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s claims that someone within the monarchy questioned their son Archie’s skin tone before his birth. Katie Feehan of the Daily Mail reports that the former sports star has said that whoever voiced their thoughts on the then-unborn firstborn of the Sussexes was “being realistic”.

Now, before all the Sugars say that he is racist, he isn’t. How do we know? The footballer is black and is married to a white woman with whom he shares biracial children. Also, we want to point out that Meghan’s parents, Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle, possibly had the conversation before she was born.

It is a common conversation, as we’ve pointed out before. We’ve also talked about how sensitive Meghan and Harry are being towards the discussion of their children’s skin. It appears to us that they forget that Markle is half-white. When she was writing The Tig, there were two posts she did that detail her biracial identity. The first is called ‘More Than An “Other”‘, where she discusses how her dad pulled together a black Barbie family and a white one to create a mixed-race family. The second, which also talks about the father she has since abandoned, is called “Draw Your Own Box”. It outlines what Tom told her to do when she was told to tick Caucasian on a class assignment.

What Does It Matter?

As Mister Barnes highlights, whoever the royal was who asked about Archie’s skin colour, was only asking a question. After all, Meghan is half-black, and Harry is caucasian. It is natural curiosity. That’s all. However, it was twisted to make it seem like there was an issue with a child being born with dark skin.

If Meghan had looked into it properly, she would’ve known there are biracial royals. Lady Davina Windsor, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, was married to Maori Gary Lewis. Their children are mixed-race.

The royal family love all cultures. If they had an issue with Meghan, it would’ve been because of her personality, not her race. After all, Markle has exposed herself for lying about the royals being racist because she appears to have forgotten her multicultural wedding. In the post, we mentioned one of Her Majesty The Queen’s most senior aides is a black man. Affectionately known as TA, he has worked for the monarch for a long time, since before Meghan arrived on the scene.

Meghan believes that she speaks for the black communities around the world. However, she does not. John makes light of this when he says most other black people wouldn’t bat an eyelid if someone asked them about what colour their baby would be. As long as the child is healthy, it shouldn’t matter what they look like. However, this is not what Markle and Harry think.

Why Make A Reasonable Question Controversial?

Meghan loves using race as a tool to pull the public to her side. She doesn’t bother using facts because racial equality is a topic she knows people will get behind as any form of inequality will cause outrage. What’s more, is she wants to be the face of black communities. Moreover, and, in order to do that, she needs to create a narrative where her husband’s very caucasian and traditional family are horrible and stuck up.

If there’s one thing she knows, it’s that the family have a reputation to uphold. By attempting to expose them, she knows people will call for the monarchy’s abolishment. However, her attempt to create lies about them seems to have backfired. Groups of black people, such as the Kingdom Choir, have backed the family.

As John Barnes points out, not all black people believe the Sussexes and their crap. Furthermore, there are people who don’t buy their bullshit about the “racist royal family”. Any mix-raced couple who has a child will ask this question. Though, we don’t understand why Oprah acted like it was a huge deal. She’s a well-educated woman who is also very rich. Surely she has mix-raced friends who have wondered what their children would look like. All Winfrey was after was the royal exclusive. She didn’t care about their struggles as royals. Interviewing a pair of washed-up individuals with direct ties to the British monarchy is a huge scoop.

Sure, Oprah has interviewed Sarah Ferguson, a couple of times, but she was divorced from Prince Andrew. She wasn’t a royal at that time. Sure, she held the title of Duchess of York, but she lost her HRH upon the divorce. Did she spill intel? Yeah, she did but it’s not as juicy as anything coming from the Sussexes.
