No, The Queen Isn’t Dead!

Dead

It’s a pretty low act when an American publication actively publishes that The Queen is dead – We were looking through Twitter earlier when we saw that someone we follow, Sabirah Lohn, had posted a screenshot from the American side of the social media platform which claimed that Her Majesty had died. She was quick to say this is NOT true. This was also backed up by several sources, including Cameron Walker, a journalist for GB News, and Daniel S.Levine of Pop Culture have said that the rumour is false.

The publication that printed the story is Hollywood Unlocked, a website we had NEVER heard of. The founder of the website Jason Lee says, according to the linked above Pop Culture article, that he stands by his sources and that he was just waiting for “confirmation.”

Who does this dude think he is, exactly? According to him, his website doesn’t print lies. Okay, whatever you say. Given no one has heard of Hollywood Unlocked before now, makes one thing apparent. He’s no Perez Hilton.

No Dead Queen Here, Folks! Here’s The Proof!

Okay, so to claim that the Queen is dead is big coming from a Hollywood gossip site. First off, the news wouldn’t be given to a site like this. There are protocols in place. There is a protocol called “London Bridge is Down” which signals the end of her reign and the beginning of Charles’. According to British Heritage Travel, the Queen’s personal secretary is to first alert the British Prime Minister. Then, the news is put out to the other nations within the Commonwealth in which The Queen is head of state.

After this has occurred, a notice is placed (similar to most birth announcements) outside Buckingham Palace. Each member of Her Majesty’s staff will also be seen wearing black armbands.

Next, the media is alerted to the death of the monarch. A statement is will then be put out by the Press Association. All programs currently airing will cease broadcast for breaking news where the journalists will be wearing black.

The Queen’s death will spread like literal wildfire from OFFICAL sources.

Also, if the Queen was on death’s door, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge would not have gone to Copenhagen for her two-day trip. Not to mention, if the Her Majesty was dead, we would’ve heard about it by now.

Why Is This “The Queen Is Dead” Rumour Out There?

Just the other day, Her Majesty was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19. With this being said, it has been speculated that she might have been tested last week when Charles and Camilla both tested positive. If the news had been put out when the test was done, people would’ve been panicking. They likely wanted to see her pull through the worst of it before they announced the result.

Now, there is no right or wrong way to announce this type of news, given the reaction. People are going to react a certain way regardless.

So, to be CLEAR. The Queen is NOT DEAD.

To Mister Lee, perhaps check your facts and research before you make claims like this.
