New ghosts will make the Bed and Breakfast more chaotic! Sam and Jay will need all the help they can get in Ghosts Season 2. The cast hit San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend to tease what’s next for the hit CBS sitcom. For a look at our explainer into the US show, please check it out.
During a chat with Entertainment Weekly, the Ghosts cast revealed that there would be more ghosts popping up to join the fun. While the new ghosts are part of it, there will be new threads to the character’s backstories which will be interesting to see! Also, that begs the question; will Jay be able to see the ghosts this season? While this wasn’t mentioned in the article, we may get an answer as last season ended with the floor collapsing and Jay being knocked out during the fall. He also had a broken leg, but we’ll find out when the season picks up on September 29.
The cast added that we would get answers to big questions and see parts of the ghosts’ backstories. Everyone’s favourite jazz-loving spectre, Alberta, will have a flashback, according to Rebecca Wisocky, who plays Hetty. She implies it might be the one we’re all waiting for; why she was murdered. Remember how she keeps going about how she’s too important to die from a heart attack? The Season 1 episode, ‘Alberta’s Fan’, reveals her death as murder by poison.
Moreover, the flashback that Rebecca mentions should tell us who did it and why. Also, Thorfinn will get a surprise visitor, but who? The only individual he mentions from his past is his Squirrel friend Oskar who he killed and ate. Could we see the Vikings he claimed abandoned him? That would be interesting to see.
As for Isaac, Flower, Hetty, Pete and Sasappis, it will be a waiting game. Though Román Zaragoza (Sas) says his character will have a ‘special’ moment. What this could mean, we have no clue. Also, Hetty will awaken to her feminist roots, it seems. God, Flower will be happy with that!
Finally, what chaos will Jay and Sam face with their B&B now open? It’s going to be so much fun to see how the Livings and the ghosts cohabitate with more humans. Australian fans can catch Ghosts on Paramount+.
