Liam Spencer is becoming like his father, Bill, scheming to get Steffy to go back to him. Finn, Steffy’s husband, is still conflicted over his relationship with his birth mother, Sheila Carter. His adoptive mother, Li Finnegan, has already tried to rile up the psychopath by belittling her and slamming her face in a bowl of pasta.
Returning to Liam, he believes that Finn cannot keep Steffy, his daughter Kelly and Finn’s son, Hayes, safe from Sheila. At the same time, it’s understandable why he feels this way, given that Carter keeps trying to insert herself. However, how Liam is going about it is wrong as how he vows to protect Steffy and get her back stinks of how his dad Bill has jumped between Katie and Brooke Logan all these years.
Sheila Is Digging In Her Heels
Finn is doing his damn hardest to distance himself from Sheila so that Steffy will come home, but nothing is working because his birth mother simply cannot take “no” for an answer and refuses to go away as she’s shacking up with Hope Logan’s dad, Deacon Sharpe.
That brings in something else, too. Deacon has told Sheila numerous times that she needs to give up on her obsession of ever having a relationship with Finn and Hayes.
Liam Is Becoming Obsessed With Steffy
Meanwhile, Liam has become obsessed with proving that he is the better match for Steffy, and he has said that he wishes he had never left Steffy in the first place. Ouch! Imagine how Beth would feel if she had heard him say that he basically wishes he had never married her mother and that he loves her sister’s mother more.
For those who may not remember, Bill went to Katie begging her to get back together because he was lonely without her. However, when she turned him down, he went crawling to Brooke and told her the same thing he told her sister and when she wasn’t interested in getting back with him, he was left hanging.
That is essentially what Liam is doing. He left his marriage to Hope so he could get back with Steffy, who is happily married to Finn. However, she left the United States with the kids because of Sheila’s constant presence in their lives. Everyone from Ridge to Thomas has told Finn he needs to get the madwoman out of their lives. Otherwise, Steffy won’t come home.
Thomas Is On The Money
Speaking on Thomas, he called Liam out when he said he wanted Steffy back. He said that his sister is married to Finn and that she loves him, not her ex-husband. As much of a touch and go character Thomas is, he’s been right on the money lately. His actions over the years have been bad. But he’s a saint compared to Sheila.
Liam, in conclusion, is not worthy of Steffy. Yes, Finn needs to do something about Sheila. However, it is not entirely responsibility to do it. It needs to be Deacon who does some of the work too. After all, she is his fiancée. Also, Liam needs to butt out of Finn’s business. He had zero right to call Steffy and tell her about Deacon and Sheila. Should Finn have told her himself? Yes, he should have but Liam is just being spiteful because he wants to be seen as the better man.
