The former president of the United States has continued to insist that he didn’t incite the January 6, 2021, Insurrection and that the election was rigged in Joe Biden’s favour. However, according to Bess Levin of Vanity Fair, Trump’s eldest daughter and beloved ‘Princess’, Ivanka, has testified against him.
Ms Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, both believed Bill Barr, the then-Attorney General when he said there wasn’t enough evidence to conclude that the presidential election had been rigged. Of course, the Donald isn’t thrilled that the investigation isn’t clearing him of any wrongdoing, but what else should we expect from a colossal manchild who doesn’t know when to give up?
Ivanka, a businesswoman herself, at least has the common decency to know when her father is wrong. Before the election results were called, she and Jared knew that Trump had lost. The couple accepted the defeat and moved on. However, that wasn’t enough for the 45th president. He didn’t entertain that the people had spoken and that he had been ousted from office.
During her eight-hour interview with investigators, Ivanka said she believed Bill Barr when he told her there was no evidence of election fraud. Donald is a sore loser, backed up by Donald’s ex-wife, Ivana, some time ago.
In conclusion, Ivanka and Jared learned what kind of president Trump was and needed to save their skins. It is a good thing they did because their popularity with people has tanked given their association with the ex-president. We can imagine what family gatherings are like now that the pair have abandoned him to his own ignorance and narcissism.
Will Ivanka’s Testimony Destroy Her Relationship With her Father?
We don’t have much respect for the Trumps, and quite frankly, we don’t care about them. But, they are a family. Filthy rich, perhaps through whatever means of dodgy business practices, but they’re still a unit. It doesn’t matter how dysfunctional they are.
We wanted to discuss whether Ivanka’s testimony would damage her relationship with her dad. We think it might, given that she had the role she had in the White House because of his position as president. She knows it, and so does he. So what was the point of having advisors when he didn’t listen to anyone but his ego?
We’re sure Ivanka and Jared are thinking the same thing a year after Biden was sworn into office. Whatever relationship Ivanka has now with her dad is of his making and possibly hers. It’s clear from what was shown in her interview that she was attempting to distance herself from the drama her father created for himself.
