Is Estelle Blofis A Demigod?

Estelle Blofis demigod

We’ve mentioned Estelle Blofis a few times on this site as she’s Percy Jackson’s little sister, born to his mother Sally Jackson and stepfather Paul Blofis, but is she a demigod? That is what we’re going to discuss here. We saw this pop up in our Google Search Console data and thought it would be an interesting add since the PJO television is about to drop on Disney+.

So, is Percy’s little sister, Estelle, a demigod? The short answer is no, she isn’t. To be a demigod, you need to be born to a god and a mortal. In Percy’s case, Sally is mortal and his father is Poseidon, the god of the sea.

Estelle Blofis and Percy only share one parent: their mother, Sally. This makes them maternal half-siblings. Paul is mortal, so his daughter cannot be a demigod. Percy and Estelle’s maternal grandmother and little Estelle’s namesake, Estelle Jackson, was also NOT a demigod, hence why Sally is mortal.

The Estelle Blofis Demigod Headcanon Of Some Fans

Some fans have the headcanon that Estelle Blofis is the demigod daughter of Poseidon because they want him and Sally back together and appear to not like Paul. Another aspect that makes this idea more solid is how Estelle has the same green eyes as her half-brother, which he inherited from his father.

We did post about how Estelle Blofis could have the same coloured eyes as Percy. Please see above.

To end this post, we hate to break it to those Poseidon/Sally fans, but Rick Riordan made the decision years ago to make Estelle Blofis Sally’s daughter with her second husband rather than have her go back to Poseidon.
