There’s only so much a person can take, but this week’s Home and Away sees Tori pushed to breaking point when Jasmine oversteps with Grace.
New mum Tori has been burnt out with having just gone back to work and with daughter Grace beginning to teethe, she’s struggling to calm her child. She’s also recruited brother Justin, unofficial sister-in-law Leah and friend Marilyn to watch the baby while she’s at work. However, this means Jasmine is lurking in the shadows and this has pushed the infant’s protective uncle to breaking point. The nurse just hasn’t been the same since she thought she was pregnant.
After everything that has happened with Jasmine, Tori refuses to believe the nurse is a threat to her little girl. However, Justin doesn’t see it the same way. Though, the mum-of-one will see things from her brother’s point of view this week.
In upcoming episodes, Jasmine pushes Tori to breaking point when she gives Grace a teething toy to soothe her aching gums. This comes after the infant’s stepmum overhears the doctor and Justin talking about it.
Despite her good intentions, this causes Tori to lash out and say that Jasmine is NOT Grace’s mother. While she’s one hundred percent correct, the nurse overstepped. Little does the doctor realise, her so-called friend has signed up for a parenting forum pretending to be her daughter’s mother.
Not only is this borderline creepy, but it also shows that Justin was right from the word go. Jasmine has become unstable since discovering she wasn’t pregnant with her late husband’s child. She has turned all her attention to little Grace and is beginning to see herself as her mother rather than Tori.
Could Jasmine Be Jealous Of Tori Having Robbo’s Child?
We don’t see how Jasmine could be jealous of Tori when she didn’t want kids. She made that quite clear to Robbo when they got married. However, when the doctor fell into a coma after Grace’s birth, she became a mother figure to the little girl and she and her husband became parents to her even if it was for a while.
Jasmine’s excuses such as wanting to ‘protect’ Grace from Tane when he wasn’t in Marilyn’s house for very long are wearing thin. Using Robbo’s good name as a way of worming her way back into Tori’s good graces is just plain wrong on so many levels. He would be ashamed that his wife is using him as her way of getting access to his daughter.
While we totally understand that Jasmine is grieving not just her husband’s death, but the fact she was never pregnant, her obsession with her stepdaughter is over the top and out of hand. She’s even pushed away those closest to her, including best friend Willow whom she thinks has been ‘gossiping’ about her to Colby. What makes Jasmine’s behaviour outrageous is that she actually had her BFF kicked out of Irene’s house and fired her from the gym.
No matter what anyone says, Jasmine just keeps pushing everyone to breaking point. She believes everyone is conspiring against her and this is simply not true. Will Tori cut the grieving widow out of Grace’s life all together? We’ll just have to wait and see.
