The Crime Sprees And Downfall Of The Flash Star, Ezra Miller

ezra

Ezra Miller (they/them) is still in a load of doo-doo. From grooming a minor to breaking into people’s houses and trying to evade multiple arrests, Ezra Miller is a troubled individual. The last couple of years have been challenging to watch as once-promising actor finds themself in trouble with the law. So let’s retrace our footsteps a little bit here. But before we do, we’ve touched on some of the drama.

There are a few aspects to the story that we have to cover before we can talk about the arrests. First, it is often distressing when a celebrity’s reputation goes down the toilet for whatever reason. Ezra and their arrests show that the stresses of fame can affect anyone. For a detailed account of Miller’s crimes, check out their Wikipedia page.

So, let’s jump back to the first event; disorderly conduct.

Ezra’s Disorderly Conduct – 2011

In late June 2011, while filming the coming-of-age movie, The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Miller was in a car pulled over for a busted brake light. They were then found to have marijuana on their person, according to Pop Eater. Initially, Ezra was charged with drug possession, but a judge dropped the charges. However, Contact Music reported that despite the charges being dropped, they were hit with a penalty of $600 for two disorderly conduct citations.

The Strangulation – 2020

In April 2020, a video merged on Twitter of Miller choking a woman and tossing her to the ground like a ragdoll. Variety verified that the video was real. The incident occurred at a bar in Reykjavik, which Ezra frequents regularly.

The video, which runs for only a few seconds, shows Ezra asking a woman if she wants to fight. She jokingly raises her fists before she is grabbed by the throat. According to Variety, Miller was approached by a bunch of fans who became rather pushy, which resulted in Ezra becoming aggressive.

Miller was identified as the person in the video by the staff who had been working at the bar.

The Arrests In Hawaii – 2022

In early 2022, Miller was arrested twice in Hawaii. The first of the arrests happened in March after an altercation at a Karaoke bar. As a result, Ezra was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment, as per The Guardian. The second of the arrests happened three weeks later in April. The actor assaulted a woman by allegedly throwing a chair at her. Miller was charged with second-degree assault, as reported by Hawaii News Now.

Tokata Iron Eyes Grooming – 2016 to 2022

One of Ezra’s most significant problems recently is their grooming of Tokata Iron Eyes. Their relationship started before they started filming the first Fantastic Beasts film. To cut a long story short, Tokata’s parents have filed a restraining order against Miller, despite their child being over 18.

Ezra allegedly started grooming Tokata when she was twelve. She is allegedly non-binary, using the pronouns she/they. She supposedly posted videos on Instagram denying their parents’ allegations against Miller. Iron Eyes also said it was their choice not to have a phone after Ezra was accused of not allowing them to have one.

Law enforcement then struggled to track Miller down to give them the restraining order. There was also a claim that Ezra verbally abused Iron Eyes regularly and even blasted the activist for wearing makeup.

Harassment Claims – 2022

In mid-June 2022, a mother and child were granted a temporary restraining order against Ezra after the actor threatened their family. The actor was accused of inappropriately touching the child, whom he had known since February of the same year, according to The Daily Beast. Miller allegedly was drawn to the minor due to their “maturity and style”, as per Business Insider. It is believed the child, like Ezra, is nonbinary.

Miller allegedly showed up at the family’s house wearing a bulletproof vest and brandishing a firearm.

A Potential Cult/Vermont Farm Incident – 2022

Another incident occurred where Miller had been “housing” a woman and her three young children at his farm in Vermont. The children’s father and an anonymous source have claimed the actor has access to firearms and ammunition, which can easily fall into the hands of the youngsters.

The mother claims the father of her children is abusive and that Ezra was offering safety. There was even an accusation where Miller blew marijuana smoke in the face of a baby. It is also believed that the actor was running an unlicensed marijuana operation.

In early August, a case worker attempted to issue the mother with a removal order for the children as they were in an unsafe environment. Friends feared that Miller had adopted a cult-like lifestyle.

Stealing – 2022

Also, in August 2022, Miller was held on a burglary charge for breaking into a residence in May to steal bottles of alcohol.

Downfall

Ezra’s downfall is serious, though serious enough to have his upcoming The Flash binned. However, their admission of mental health issues is a step in the right direction if their career is to recover. While Miller’s issues might not be deemed as problematic by Warner Brothers as Johnny Depp not doing anything wrong, it shows that there is a massive problem.

Warner Brothers didn’t fire Amber Heard from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom for making up allegations against Johnny Depp, but they fired Depp before the truth could come out. The same applies here with Ezra. Their arrests and legal issues aren’t bad in the eyes of the studio. However, the double standards are just mind-blowing.

At least Ezra is getting the help they need, and hopefully, there is a solution to what happens with The Flash movie PR. We even called this out in our piece on R.Kelly, Ezra and Amber Heard.
